Fight Your Way Through Chapter 5 Of The Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake

A new look at the Resident Evil 4 Remake is here with a solid play at the fifth chapter recreated from the original Resident Evil 4

Every day that passes takes us all one day closer to when we will get a chance to load up the Resident Evil 4 on our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Every day that passes takes us closer to the darkness that is on the way. Those passing days also give us a few more things to look at from Capcom for the game to get us all ready for the release. This, of course, is what brings us all right back here again. Another day has passed and now we have a lot more gameplay for the Resident Evil 4 Remake to look at and see just how it could look when it drops on March 24th. That and to get some of you off the fence about all of the rain that is going on in the game too. A weird hang-up to have, but something we get a better look at here today.

You have most likely already jumped down to the latest video we have for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, but for those still reading, here we get a look at how Chapter 5 of the original game has been altered and shifted with all of the other upgrades. It all looks amazing and as fluid as we should be expecting from titles in the modern day, and we get to see some of the other slight changes too. Like the fact that Leon’s knife is a limited-use item, there will be specific side missions handed out, there will be multiple paths we can go down to complete some of the objectives, and many of the classic collectibles are back in there. All of this culminates in that massive cabin showdown from the original Resident Evil 4. It also has a few twists to it too, but those all look to be enhancing the game to where the team wanted it in the first place and not the limited form of the hardware we had back in the day.

Resident Evil 4 Remake — Chapter 5 Gameplay

The Resident Evil 4 is Game Informer’s cover story for February, and as part of their ongoing features, we’re sharing an extended gameplay walkthrough of the game’s fifth chapter, set right after Leon meets Ashley.

Marcus Stewart, and Alex Van Aken played this chapter at Capcom’s headquarters for our cover story. You’ll get a great look at the section we played as well as our commentary for added context. The footage includes extended looks at the church and cemetery sequences, a demonstration of combat and exploration, capping off with a larger slice of the chaotic cabin battle with Luis Serra.

Disclaimer: Capcom helped to arrange and cover travel accommodations for the two in Osaka, Japan, in association with this cover story. As the world’s largest video game magazine, Game Informer’s editorial team is proud to remain impartial, professional, and committed to the truth in all forms of our content, regardless of this circumstance.

Where do you stand on all of the extra rain we are seeing in the gameplay for the Resident Evil 4? Does it bother you that we will have all of that or will it add to some of the tension other games have crafted using different weather patterns? Do you like seeing some of the gear changes in the mix and will the new cache cases be a bigger boon to us along the run of the game while hunting down those chicken eggs? Sound off in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all up to the launch. I am sure we will have much more for the Resident Evil 4 Remake as we get closer to the launch, so please keep checking back for all of those updates and many, many more.
