Final Fantasy VII Revelation
The conclusion to the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga is almost here, with the official reveal and gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Revelation
The teasing is finally over, and we now have the announcement for Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The third and final part of the remake run that Square Enix has been taking their time with. The one that will bring us so many things we’ve been waiting for in terms of characters, world building, and the story. Not to mention, to see if the story for the remake is going to truly deviate from the Final Fantasy VII we had so long ago. All of that, and without anyone needing to wait to get that ending, as the game is slated to release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC at the same time in the Spring of 202. So, there’s still a little bit of a wait, but the end of the saga is almost here. For now, let’s take a look at the new gameplay features we can expect.
Those who’ve played the original Final Fantasy VII will know that this is not only where the story comes to a head, but that so many massive things in the world open up. That would include the game world as well. That has been a little more linear in the remake up to now, but they are not holding back anymore. We have the Highwind airship to use, and we are going to get to use it. Not just as a traditional fast-travel system, but we can sail it around the world and jump out at any time. Well, seemingly, as I am sure there will be locations and events that would be ruined if we could just parachute past them all, but this all does mean that the world will be pretty close to open when we dive into Final Fantasy VII Revelation out there.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation — Reveal
As the world teeters on the brink of annihilation, the final battle against Sephiroth begins.
A meteor mars the sky, monstrous planetary guardians wreak havoc across the globe, and the fires of war rage. Now, Cloud and his companions must stand against this chaos to not only decide the planet’s fate, but bring a legendary conflict to its conclusion.
In the final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, the scale has never been larger, and the stakes have never been higher. Take to the skies and explore a boundless world, fight alongside a fully assembled party, master strategic and dynamic combat, and prepare yourself for the climactic finale.
A vast planet awaits. Everything leads here.
Release Date: Spring 2027
Platforms: PlayStation 5 / Nintendo Switch 2 / Xbox Series X|S / Windows / Steam / Epic Games Store
In addition to all of those above reveals for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, we have the final two members of the crew joining the fights out there. Vincent and Cid will be fully playable and come with all their fun new gameplay mechanics. Cid is a Dragoon and will have all of the lance and aerial attacks that would come with him. While Vincent still gets to be the gunslinger who can also transform into the beast as needed. Even if it does feel as if Final Fantasy VII Revelation is downplaying all of the vampire stuff that felt like it was in the original title. It’s been a bit, so I might just be remembering that aspect a little off. I guess that’s what all of the new gameplay we have and will be coming will need to clear up before we jump into the core game again.
