Final Fantasy X/X-2 & XII The Zodiac Age Hitting New Consoles

Final Fantasy X/X-2 & XII The Zodiac Age Hitting New Consoles

Final Fantasy X

The Xbox One and Switch will be gaining Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age and the Final Fantasy X X/X-2 HD Remasters this coming April

Get ready to live more of the past as it looks like a few more Final Fantasy titles will be making the jump over to the Xbox One and Switch systems now. It used to be that Square Enix held these aside just for the PlayStation consoles but that time has ended it would seem. That or the company wants to rake in more of that sweet money from fans willing to throw it down. With that all said, we can now look forward to Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age and the X/X-2 HD Remaster to make the leap over there this April. As if we did not already have a lot of time to sink into other games out there.

Ignoring all of the time and such here, both of these will usher in hundreds of hours of gameplay for fans on these consoles with all of the visual upgrades we should expect. Not to mention a few other upgrades to Final Fantasy XII that time and effort would allow for but nothing too drastic from where it all was before. If I had to guess, this is all to keep us playing the game here as we wait for the ever-requested Final Fantasy VII Remake we know is coming. Even though it has been held off for a bit. That and the fact I would rather see a FFVI remake before all of that. To each their own and now you know you can add these titles to your backlog as well.

Critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age are now available for digital pre-order from Square Enix. These two classic titles are slated for release on to the Nintendo Switch system and Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X in April.

Key features for Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age include high-definition graphics, original and remastered soundtracks, and a new trial mode. Other additional enhancements include:

    • License Reset Function: By talking to Clan Centurio’s leader Montblanc in Rabanastre, players can reset and change their party member’s jobs, allowing them to customize the jobs of their party as desired.
    • Additional Gambit Sets: Gambits allow players to customize their party’s AI. Players can now create three unique sets, allowing players to switch between sets for different situations, such as map exploration or boss fights.
    • Improved New Game+: Allows users to start the game with party members at level 90 and carry over some items like weapons, magic and gils obtained during previous playthroughs.
    • Specific to Xbox One X: Supports 60fps
