LawBreakers
The first look at gameplay for LawBreakers has been released online and it looks like the FPS title that some of us expected LawBreakers to be
So yesterday we had our first announcement about LawBreakers with the promise of gameplay. Yes we had a live action trailer of sorts to explain to us what Boss Key Productions is trying to accomplish in LawBreakers but there was nothing to see in terms of gameplay. Not to let anyone down it looks like we have said gameplay for LawBreakers now and ready for all to view. As you most likely already saw and skipped down to we have this aforementioned gameplay for LawBreakers just a bit further down the page to look at. Who am I kidding though? You are already there and watching and not reading anything I am thinking right now for this FPS PC title that is named LawBreakers.
For those who are kindly waiting through my drivel of free-flow thought here, thanks, there is a bit to know about LawBreakers and what you are about to see. Well, more about what you are about to see as it looks like we are getting a look at two character for each faction in the game. Each of which has a wacky name and a weird description of their abilities in LawBreakers. Outside of Chronos the rest sound like something that was thought up on a quick brainstorm and then thrown in with gameplay mechanics working somehow around the theme. Have a look at LawBreakers for yourself now.
LawBreakers — Gameplay Reveal
I really, really hate playing the comparison game here again but LawBreakers looks like the exact same title that Blizzard is working on called Overwatch. It doesn’t have the cartoon flare as the other one but it looks to be pretty much the same game in terms of gameplay mechanics and flow. This could just be how I am seeing LawBreakers in action here and all of the other arena shooter titles that are apparently all the rage right now but it looks the same. In a sea of many titles like this right now LawBreakers really needs something to make it stand out and as of right now, to me, the only thing that is doing that at all is the heads of Boss Key Productions‘ names and that is sadly it.
Of course this opinion is all based on what I am assuming is really early gameplay for LawBreakers and not much more. Although seeing as the only thing announced is that it is a multiplayer game I have a feeling that a really good, well-rounded campaign explaining the lore of LawBreakers in a standout way is not in the works. Maybe I, and others, was just hoping for some kind of kick to the nuts with excitement title for the team that is made up of so many great developers at Boss Key Productions. Who knows? All I know is that as we get closer to the release of LawBreakers I am personally going to need to see something that at least feels new to the genre to sway my opinion in another way. Get cracking humans.
Do you agree or disagree with me here on LawBreakers? Does it look like many of the other area shooters that are on the way right now or am I not seeing how it is standing on its own? If you are like me, what were you hoping for with LawBreakers? Let us all know down in the comments and discuss. Hopefully Nexon or Boss Key Productions will have more for us to digest out of PAX here for LawBreakers. If they do, even if it doesn’t help with my thoughts, we will have all those updates right here for you so be sure to keep checking back in for all things LawBreakers as we press on and hopefully upward.
