Get A ‘Feel’ For Until Dawn With New Live Action Trailers

Until Dawn

Two new live action trailers for Until Dawn have been released to give all of us a feel for what to expect in Until Dawn

We are in the home stretch as Until Dawn is out in just about a week’s time and we will soon be getting to experience this horror film based game on the PS4 in the comforts of our gamer caves. All of us horror fans can rejoice and get the mood light ready for Supermassive Games‘ title here. Also with the launch looming on us like a killer on a bimbo that means that we are going to get the media push to get more to pre-order or purchase out the gate. As Until Dawn is going to be a story based game as well and the mechanics have been pretty well defined since last year’s PSX that means we get…LIVE ACTION TRAILERS! Because we all love live action trailers.

Note there that I said trailers, plural, for Until Dawn. Yes we have two new trailers for the game to show us how it will ‘feel’ to play Until Dawn as I am sure that anymore actual gameplay will give away too much and make many not want to give the game a go. At least they are trying still and making sure that those of us excited to give Until Dawn a go will have a completely new feeling title and not something we’ve seen many times before via gameplay trailer. I guess we’ll give peanut butter crackers for the effort as cookies are for winners…

First up we have a new “interactive” trailer for Until Dawn that lets us take on the role of a half-naked girl who is thrust into the same situation we will experience in the game. It’s not like many other interactive trailers as there is only one selection branch in it and we all know that each scenario in Until Dawn will have multiple as we move through the night. Kind of odd given the fact there could have been so many different options we could have been presented here from Supermassive Games and the team they have here from MoFilm who made these Until Dawn live action trailers. Have a watch and see if you can survive…

Until Dawn — Choices

Next on the docket is a made for GameStop Until Dawn live action trailer that does not give you a choice but I guess could be showing off the mechanic that lets the characters of Until Dawn have a Final Destination glimpse of the future to help guide. At least is how I’ll look at it outside of hearing a great Robert Frost poem used to instill terror for Until Dawn. Even if you don’t enjoy it and get the same take away here you can still claim you had a bit of culture mixed into your day here. Let’s face it too; if you are highly anticipating Until Dawn you may need a bit of culture in your life to keep rounded.

Until Dawn — Road Not Taken

If these new Until Dawn trailers were designed to give you a ‘feel’ for the game then I’d have to ask the question of why even play it? No matter what is chosen here the ending is always getting brutally murdered. Even the option that equips the female in both videos show that they have no chance in Until Dawn. Thankfully I know better, as should you, which this will not be the case in Until Dawn and Supermassive Games did not just make a death and torture simulator here. Based on the gameplay we’ve already seen the “Defend” option and the “Ax” option would most likely mean at least that character makes it to the next chapter of the story. Or at least has a greater chance.

Be honest here; do you like live action trailers for video games like we had here for Until Dawn? Do you think this truly shows off what the game is all about or are they just wastes of time and money to grab the attention of “Sunday Gamers” out there? Did you have a different experience here for these Until Dawn trailers than I had? Let us know and discuss down in the comments. Also be ready to have more of these kinds of updates and news bits as Until Dawn launches on August 25th and I am sure Supermassive Games is going to want to make sure everyone knows about it and we will cover it like a killer covers their trophy wall.
