Get Ready For The End Of 2025 To Offer Us Some Total Chaos

Total Chaos

A new release date for Total Chaos is given to us with Total Chaos offering some dark horrors before the end of the year

It is time to take one step closer to some Total Chaos out there, with a new release window set down for the game. One that will still have what Trigger Happy Interactive has been working on coming out before the end of 2025, but one that is still up in the air with the news we have from Apogee Entertainment. Up in the air in terms of Total Chaos will be hitting the PC in Q4 of 2025. Since we did not have a solid release date before now, that is not a massive hit to us all. Given that there is also currently a demo out there to play, it just means we will be sitting in limbo a little longer and enjoying the smaller slice more than anything.

This is not the biggest news for Total Chaos, as a solid release date would have been better, but it is at least something. Something that we can then turn into a bit more with some new gameplay to look at for this psychological survival horror title. A bit that digs a little more into the atmosphere of it all and how we will need to lean on some of those resource management skills to make sure we are fully loaded and armed to head out there into the horrors. Not that we have not had the same little bits from that demo of Total Chaos, but maybe you are holding off on playing until the final release and just need some horror for your day. Then look just a little bit lower down, and you will have just that to enjoy out there right now. All as we hope to see the final launch in October to give the extra horror in the mix.

Total Chaos — New Launch Window

Apogee Entertainment and developer Trigger Happy Interactive announced that the highly anticipated psychological survival horror title, Total Chaos, will now release in Q4 2025 on Windows PC.

Total Chaos is a pulse-pounding, atmospheric nightmare that blends different eras of survival horror hallmarks. It features classically inspired resource management, methodical melee combat and gunplay, haunting visuals, and grotesque environments and creatures.

Originally conceived as an award-winning total conversion mod of DOOM II in 2018, Total Chaos has been significantly reimagined and expanded into a modern standalone experience, amplifying its chilling atmosphere and relentless tension for a new generation of players.

Key Features of Total Chaos:

  • Immersive Atmosphere: Explore the decayed ruins of Fort Oasis across nine harrowing chapters, each drenched in dread, plunging you deeper into its oppressive, decaying world
  • Environmental Storytelling: Uncover the island’s darkest secrets and confront your own fractured past through cryptic notes, haunting visuals, and unsettling encounters
  • Crafting For Survival: Build and upgrade weapons using scavenged materials to stand a chance against the relentless terrors stalking you
  • Changing Pathways: During level exploration, the levels themselves can change depending on your level of madness, creating new paths into unknown regions
  • Face Freakish Foes: Engage against horrific creatures, each with their own deadly behaviors and strategies
  • Resource Management: Navigate a deep inventory system where every item matters. Your survival hinges on careful choices, crafting the perfect weapon, and quick thinking on the fly.

Were you holding out hope that Total Chaos was going to land a little bit sooner than expected? Will this launch by the end of October, or will it use the entire bit of time that the Q4 label offers up? Have you been playing through the Total Chaos to see all of this gameplay well before launch? Will we ever get to see this title land on any of the consoles after it hits the PC? Answer all of those questions in the comment section for us. Then be sure to keep on checking back here for everything I can offer up for Total Chaos until the final launch out there. That does mean we should have a whole lot more to share with you all before then, at the very least.
