Get Ready To Chill Out A Bit In The Mix Of Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island

Find a few of the chill places in Mythwrecked along with a bit more of the gameplay on the way with Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island

It is not every day that a video game offers up a way for us all to kick back and chill, but that seems to be one of the new features on the way for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island. As it looks, hunting down various things for the Gods out there in Polygon Treehouse‘s upcoming title might be a little stressful for our protagonist. That is why we are here to have a bit of a “chill” moment and see how the characters are going to unwind in Mythwrecked when they can actually take a moment to do so. All while we wait to find out when the game will be hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this year. That time is running low and I hope we get a solid release date for it all soon.

Part of the experience for Mythwrecked will have us playing as a character named Alex who is tasked to explore the island and find various things for the gods. All while also tracking down the various gods on the island. During this adventure, Alex will be claiming various things, like cassette tapes that hold music, and using some of that to build a friendship with the various gods out there. The following trailer for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, though, shows a few of the peaceful locations we can just “chill” at and listen to the songs and take a break from all of that exploring. Weird that a video game that is made for leisure has something placed in it to give a break from that, but it is fitting and will allow us to take in all of the art that the team has put together for the game. Let us have a look at it all just a little lower and see how all of it will flow out there.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island — Chill Out Spots

Developers Polygon Treehouse released a new trailer showcasing the chill-out spots found around Ambrosia Island in their upcoming game Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, coming to PC and Xbox this year!

Playing as the shipwrecked Alex, as you adventure around the sun-drenched beaches, ancient ruins, and stunning environments, you’ll uncover many hidden treasures, including cassette tapes, to add to your collection of unique finds. As you gain friendship with the gods, you’ll also be able to trade for some extremely rare tapes to build out your music library. Bring those tapes to one of the peaceful spots found around the island — complete with a comfortable spot to sprawl and a handy cassette player — pop the tape in the player, select your favorite tune from the carefully crafted soundtrack, and relax as you take in the soothing views that surround you.

In Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, players take on the role of backpacker Alex, who has found herself stranded on the mysterious shores of Ambrosia Island. As she begins to explore her surroundings, she discovers that she is not alone — the island is populated by the gods of Greek myth and legend! However, something is amiss — the gods are unable to remember who they are. In order to find her way home, she must befriend the inhabitants and help them to restore their memories.

Explore the dynamic island in this non-linear adventure inspired by elements of the Ace Attorney franchise and A Short Hike. Unravel the story of the island and build friendships with the gods through a unique relationship mechanic. The closer you become, the more they are willing to help Alex with their godly powers. Solve the mystery of Ambrosia Island, save the gods, and help Alex find a way back home!

Key Features of Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island include:

  • Gods Among Us: Many Gods call Ambrosia Island home, from Ares to Athena, Hermes to Hades. Tracking them all down is made easier with the Ambrosidex, though some may be harder to meet than others.
  • Treasure In The Sandbox: Use the radar signal on the Ambrosidex to hunt for lost godly treasures hidden all over the island! Return them to their rightful owners to help rekindle their memories and learn more about the island’s fate.
  • Conversational Wizard: Explore the island, examine new objects and locations, and talk to others to unlock new conversation topics. Maybe some Gods know something that will help Alex on her adventure, but some sensitive topics may be off-limits until you have earned their friendship.
  • Even Gods Need A Friend: Experience a non-linear, emotional story about the importance of friendship, family, and community.

How do you feel about the various “chill-out” spots we are going to have in Mythwrecked and will they be needed? Is this a better way to allow us to experience the music instead of the usual menu options we have in other video games? Will there be more to these things than expected once we are able to play the game? Chill out in the comment section below and let all of the fun conversation happen for this one. We will have more for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island down the line, so please keep on swinging by to see and hear about all of that as it comes. I know I am looking forward to it and I hope the rest of you are doing the exact same out there.
