Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord

The release date for Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord is set for October so we can step into the pack of the Ghostbusters again

It looks like this Halloween is going to be filled with even more spooks with Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord launching on the PS VR2 and PC VR hardware at the end of the month. Not specifically on the holiday, that would be a bit of a misstep by nDreams I would think, but just a bit before so you can make sure you are ready to get all spooky with the Ghostbusters once more. Take that all to not so you are ready for it all when the game lands on October 26th and aims to take advantage of all of the hardware it can for this one. That is a bit of the promise we are getting here today.

Now that we have the date for then, let us have a look at some of the gameplay Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord will give us in the mix of things. Also, so we can see what elements from the overall IP that we will see in the game. Since we are on the West Coast for this one, you would think we would see some changes and some of the core things that keep it all in line. That is why we have little Stay Puft Marshmallow Men attacking us while also dealing with some of the bigger ghosts that feel like they come from this side of the country. All while offering up the standard lasso with the proton pack and then kicking out a trap gameplay all of these titles have in common.

It does look like it will be a bit more interesting than any of the past Ghostbusters games we have had since this one will have us using everything in a one-to-one state of things. Meaning, that you will have to shoot and lasso with your actual skill and not just aim toward the enemy and let the game handle the rest. This would work best with some of the other busting gear we have seen in other Ghostbusters films, but it does seem like the 2016 film is being ignored for things and the team is leaning into everything else. Including the cartoon, so it looks like the basics with a few other little fun things added in more or less.

Will you be adding this Ghostbusters experience to the list for this Halloween or will you let it slip by this time around? How hard will it be to move and aim in the game and will it be nailed down to fit the hardware perfectly? Will we get more of the IP in the full game or does it feel like they are leaving some out on purpose here? Head to the comment section to discuss all of that. We have more for Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord on the way, so please keep on coming back to see and hear all of that in due time.
