Mortal Kombat X
We had out first real look at the Goro DLC for Mortal Kombat X and it is all about the Punch Walk
If you were not too busy over this Easter weekend then you would have been in for another Mortal Kombat X treat. The first gameplay for Goro was shown off during an Amazon All Access event. More than just Goro was shown off during the five hour stream with NetherRealm and Amazon via Twitch but let’s face it; Goro is what everyone was excited to see as the rest of the characters that are to be shown off for Mortal Kombat X will be coming in the next week leading up to the April 14th launch. That is if you don’t think that there will be more surprises after Mortal Kombat X launches.
While we didn’t get a good breakdown of all of Goro’s moves and variations in Mortal Kombat X, we did at least get their descriptions as well as a shit ton of gameplay showing off how Goro could be completely overpowered in Mortal Kombat X. The hashtag #PunchWalk is no joke as it looks like Goro can do just that in each different variation even though his moves seem to be more focused away in at least two of the three variations for him. None the less he looks like he is going to be one of “those characters” when we all gather around and play some Mortal Kombat X and have a few drinks with friends.
Here is the brief breakdown of all of Goro’s variations in Mortal Kombat X.
Goro
- Kuatan Warrior — Gains powerful Ground Pound and Chest Charge
- Dragon Fangs — Gains unique attacks utilizing Bladed Gauntlets
- Tigrar Fury — Gains Flame Ball and Dragon Breath

I guess what did we really expect from the former mini-boss and prince of Outworld as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X? Granted not everyone may have him at launch as Goro is still a pre-order bonus as well as day one DLC for those who didn’t pre-order the game. There is no price to buy Goro outside of pre-order but if you are planning on picking up Mortal Kombat X and want Goro why not secure your copy and get him for free? It makes perfect sense here even if you don’t want the Kombat Pack at launch. I guess that is a good selling point for Mortal Kombat X so buyer be warned.
So what do you think of Goro in Mortal Kombat X? Does he look overpowered or just about right for the game? Have you already picked up your pre-order and going to get Goro on day one? Let us know what you think down in the comments so we can all get our Mortal Kombat X on a bit early.
