Hitman Has Its New Release Date & What We Get In The Full Game

Hitman

The new release date for Hitman has been revealed and we also get a look at what will come in Hitman and other options to purchase game content

It seems like it was not that long ago that Hitman had the announced delay and that it was hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in March of 2016. Now we jump to today and it looks like Hitman is going to be hitting said platforms on March 11th of 2016 as the release date has been set. Not only that but it looks like Io Interactive has also ponied up the information on what will be included in Hitman on day one as well as some of the plans out until June of 2016. This also includes the multiple ways that Square Enix are going to allow us all to purchase and experience Hitman in the same why we will be killing people in the game.

From what has been reported here it looks like there will be two solid ways to pick up Hitman when the day finally comes. You can drop the standard price for Hitman and get all of the content listed by Io Interactive up to June of 2016. Or you can go the introductory option, pay $35, and only get the base stuff on March 11th. This of course make you have to pay another $30 if you fall in love with Hitman here and want more but that is just another way to fill the bank accounts of Square Enix in case you don’t want to take the full risk of buying Hitman outright. All about options right?

Here’s the current break down of options to buy Hitman before March 11th.

  • Full Version Of Hitman ($59.99 USD)

    • Initial launch content
    • Post launch content
    • Live content
  • Intro Pack Of Hitman ($34.99 USD)

    • Initial launch content
    • Live content
  • Upgrade for Intro Pack Of Hitman ($29.99 USD) *Can only be bought in conjunction with the Intro Pack offer

    • Post launch content

Since none of the above lists out in detail what will be coming in Hitman, here is a list for all to see. Spoiler alert. It looks like the locations of missions in Hitman are limited down to three locations for the base version of the game and Io Interactive will be adding on three more locations and a plethora of missions and contracts for each new area released for Hitman. Not to mention all of the “live events” they have planned that sound a bit more like MKX‘s living tower system that became stagnant after a short will.

Now that you have your options for Hitman purchase laid out for you, which do you see being the better option. Will you just buy all of the content up front and hope that Io Interactive keeps bringing the thunder for Hitman? Are you going to pussyfoot around and buy only the intro pack and then drop the extra money making Hitman cost about $5 USD more than it would have been? Are you curious to see what they have set up for the future areas and missions? Let us know in the comments and discuss away. Hopefully we will see more on all of these things for Hitman soon and when we do we will bring them all right to you here.
