Mortal Kombat 1
Gameplay for Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1 is here to show off how well The Boys will flow into the Mortal Kombat universe
Just as we all get ready for the launch of the new season of The Boys, Homelander is flying into Mortal Kombat 1 and landing on June 4th. At least for those who are getting Early Access to the character. NetherRealm Studios will have him out there just a little later but still before the show for those who are not part of the level of the fun. No matter the case, we have a little look at Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1 with a lot more gameplay, fatalities, and a little more of Ferra who will be joining the Kameo system later in June as well. A nice little smattering to get us all ready for the character.
As is to be expected, Homelander will be flying around in Mortal Kombat 1 and using a lot of his heat vision that he is known for. Along with the usual super strength and fighting abilities that we have seen in the comics and show for the character. Nothing too shocking about what we were all expecting out there. It does look like Homelander will be able to fly around the screen at will, though, which is not something we have normally seen with other Mortal Kombat characters who can do the same, so that could lead to a bit of a strategy to use in the game. Maybe not, though as this is just a teaser video and not a full gameplay breakdown.
Mortal Kombat 1 — Homelander Gameplay
Let’s light this candle. Homelander lands in Mortal Kombat 1 on June 4 for Early Access players. Ferra joins the Kameo roster later in June.
It’s In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities!
When all is said and done, Homelander does feel a bit like Omni-Man more than I was expecting in Mortal Kombat 1. They are both the Evil Superman archetype, so that was a bit of a worry to me, and from what I have seen thus far, it is hitting those concerns. Maybe it is because the character types are so close that it would be hard to make them feel truly different. It is just how I see it. Even if I would prefer to play as Homelander over playing as Omni-Man due to enjoying one bit of content over the other more than anything. Maybe when the character does land in Mortal Kombat 1 he will feel vastly different, but this gameplay does not sell me on that yet.
How do you feel about what we have for Homelander and how he will be joining the Mortal Kombat universe out there? Does he feel a lot like Omni-Man or is that just a perception based on how close the characters are by default? When do you think we will see Ferra fully into the game and will she handle the same between all characters in the game? Swoop into the comment section to let us all know what you are thinking about this character and what is coming to the game here soon. When more for Mortal Kombat 1 is out there, or even more for The Boys, we will share it all as best as we can. Please keep on checking the site for all of those updates and more.
