Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition
Those looking to play Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition on the PC will have a few new features other Horizon players do not
We have seen a few of the new PC features that are on the way for the Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition, but now we have some better details to look at for it all. All of this was talked about during CES at the start of the year, but Guerrilla Games finally has a nice little video to show it all off to us. Some features I am sure those who enjoyed Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5 would have had, but now have a reason to dig back in on March 21st when this newer version of the game is out on the market. Let us have a look at just what Aloy is flying in with one more time.
For those who have played Horizon Forbidden West already, this new version of the game on the PC will now offer up all manner of upscaling that your PC should be able to handle. It will also be dropping and off the frame caps so you can play it with unlocked frame rates, and many more graphical customization settings, along with the option to play with the ultra-wide screens out there. Then there are all of the ray-tracing and DLSS 3 options we saw with the other announcement for Horizon Forbidden West when NVIDIA had to show it off coming to the PC. Thankfully, you do not only have to take any words for it, but can see some of this in motion just a little lower. Do note that the video compression is not going to give you everything that is promised, so mileage may vary on all of this.
Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition — PC Features
Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition on PC features unlocked frame rates, customizable graphics settings, and a broad range of performance-enhancing technologies, including NVIDIA DLSS 3 upscaling and frame generation.
Coming March 21.
I feel like at this point, as Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition has shown us, there should just be a blanket expectation for the PC version of the game when it happens. That is, as long as you have the hardware to actually run things in this way. This is usually why I try to stick clear of PC versions of games out there. Sure, you might be able to get something truly amazing if you shell out all of the money to have the latest and greatest, but for those who cannot stay on the cutting edge, I’d rather go with the version that the developers originally placed out there. Having played Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5, I do not see that large of a leap to get me to go through it all one more time on the PC. That is just me, though.
How do you feel about the upgrades we have for Horizon Forbidden West on the PC and will they be something you get to experience? can you actually see the difference in frame rates or is that something you have only told yourself that you can do? Does it even matter how nice the game looks when it is all about the story and mechanics in this one and ray-tracing is not going to change any of that? Head into the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have to offer out there. If we get another update for the Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition before launch, we will add it to the site. Just be sure to keep on coming back to see and hear all of that along the way.
