Vorax
New gameplay for Vorax is here for Gamescom to show how dark Vorax could be going to be out there
With the start of Gamescom not too far away, it seems like it is high time to see more for Vorax once again. That does seem to be how we are getting our information from Indie Gala over here at least. Not that it is a bad thing, just something worth noting. Maybe this is why the new trailer for Vorax is called “Confession,” but most likely not. It is just one more bit of footage to show off some gameplay on the PC and just what kind of horrors we are going to need to survive when the game does finally land out there for all of us in a final form and not the slowly updated form we currently have. Let us all dig in.
When we start to dive into more on what the “confession” thing is here for Vorax, though, it seems like the story of the game is leaning in on the person that is trying to survive and not the character we are going to be playing. In the story of Vorax the island we are on has been struck by a weird pathogen that is doing all manner of terrible things, but we are a mercenary out there. A merc that has been tasked with keeping the son of the President alive until we can all be safely extracted. With that person being the one that is up to all manner of terrible things while we are running around shooting all kinds of monsters out there. That is my takeaway from this new video, but the gameplay could tell us something vastly different with some new stuff coming out just for the upcoming conference out there.
Vorax — Confession
Vorax will be going to Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany next week! Find it at Hall 10.1 | Stand B093 with the newest version of Vorax with all of its new additions and improvements on a massive and expanded map.
That is not all, look forward to a new updated Demo which will include most of the new Gamescom elements as well.
Discover the truth behind a deadly pathogen outbreak on a secluded island. When a secret military operation goes wrong, you’ll need to scavenge food, weapons, and supplies to survive the nightmare.
Vorax is an Open World Survival Horror game set on a Mediterranean island where a mysterious pathogen has infected the local population. An army battalion is sent to quarantine the population but 48 hours later all communication with the battalion is lost.
You are part of a NATO special intervention team sent to investigate. What was supposed to be a simple mission quickly turns into a fight for survival as your helicopter crashes, stranding you on the island, alone.
Low on food and equipped with only a small survival kit, you’ll need to craft tools, build barricades, fences, and traps as well as find, upgrade, and maintain your shelter to survive as you uncover the dark origins of the virus, and the horrible mutating effects it has on its hosts.
How long can you survive on the island, and how long can you survive the voracious creatures that hunt you?

Speaking to that last bit a little more, there is a demo for Vorax out there on Steam as of right now. Well, there has been for a while now and it has been slowly getting updated and altered as the development of the game shifts. If you hold off on getting the demo until closer to Gamescom, or sooner based on the timing of this post, you will see many of the changes and content from Gamescom show up in the Vorax demo out there. A nice little thing to add in for those looking to get the most up-to-date experience for the game they can have. It looks like I am going to have to give it one more download and try with some new gameplay for the masses on the way too. Keep an eye out.
Do you think that this will all be a confession from a different character in Vorax or is it just a nice little marketing thing to get us to play the demo again? How different do you think it will be from the final version or will they be putting the final touches on it soon? Is it nice to see the team go this route instead of an Early Access for the game or will that be coming soon too? Head into the deepest parts of the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else we have out there. We are going to have more for Vorax and Gamescom as it all goes down, so please keep on checking in for all of those updates and many more yet to come.
