It Is Time To See How We Will Create Our Characters In Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish

Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish

See how you will build your Hunter in the World of Darkness when Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish launches next year

It’s further time to get ready for the upcoming hunt in Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish. This time, we’re going behind the scenes a bit with Teyon and Nacon to see how the game came to life, and how it is going to bring the 5th edition of the IP to life. Specifically, this time, with how the character creation is going to flow, some of the gameplay we can expect, and how they are going to bring in the dice-rolling system from the tabletop version of Hunter: The Reckoning and the World Of Darkness to life in this digital game. That’s a lot to dive into, so let’s get started and look at how it will flow, along with some of the narrative choices we can expect after we make these important decisions.

Fans of the tabletop system will be glad to see that Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish will be leaning further into the dice system than we might have thought before. We’ll start out with the usual toon-building that RPG games use. Even though the game is set in a first-person mode for gameplay, we’ll have the chance to see them in their full glory during cinematics. After that, we’ll move into picking from specifically generated roles, or we will be able to pick and choose how our hunter comes to life by assigning the various stat points to each of the spaces we would on a paper character sheet. We’ll then get our flaws, perks, and abilities all before heading out into the world to put them to use. That will all be done with dice rolls, just as if we were sitting around a table, and there will be a slight change to the desperation dice just for this game. They’ll allow us to have a full reroll of our dice so that it all fits the flow of the video game better, along with allowing some of our weaker skills to have a chance as we take the hunt into the night.
