Robocop: Rogue City
A little more of the story for Robocop: Rogue City is here to give us a feel for the grander scheme Robocop will have to take on in the game
Bits of the story keep on flowing out for Robocop: Rogue City as we get closer to November 2nd for the game, If Teyon keeps this up, we will have the full thing before we are able to play it all on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. I doubt that, but that is how it is feeling at this point. Even if the story is not the bigger reason for us all to dive back in with Robocop for this game. Nonetheless, here we go to see just what has been causing crime to spike out there and what other things will go into effect once the game and story fully kick off next week. So close to it all now.
If you have played the demo for Robocop: Rogue City or paid attention to any of the past story trailers, then you will know that a new crime boss has moved in and all of the gangs of Detroit are looking to get a solid “in” with that person. There was a rather large power vacuum left in the main story of the Robocop films, so this all tracks. This is also why we are heading out with Murphy again so we can stamp that rise in crime a bit and deal with some other inner issues. This is the other aspect that does not seem to get highlighted in any of these trailers, but was a massive focus for the demo story.
Robocop: Rogue City — It Seems There Will Be Trouble
Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury.
Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.
Robocop: Rogue City comes out on November 2, 2023, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
I am fully ready to hit the streets with Robocop and bring these gangs down, even if I know it will not end it all in the grander story out there. We have to leave some of that out there so we can potentially see more of these stories and games moving forward. Oddly, I am looking forward to more of the personal issues going on for Murphy in the Robocop story than the rampant violence out there. It feels deeper and richer for us to explore than just shooting and causing all manner of violence. That is my take on it and I know gamers in general will only be here for how many bullets they can fire in a minute instead.
What is the draw of Robocop for you here and will it be more than the violence we know is coming? Do you think the new crime boss is going to be something truly formidable or will it be the twist that it is OCP doing it all to make sure they stay in power? Could this all build to a revival, again, of the IP with more stories and games to come? Take to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else we have to share. There is more to all of Robocop: Rogue City and we will have it all here for you. Just please keep on checking in for those updates and many others as we head into the future of all of this.
