It’s Time For The Fireworks With Gameplay For Valorant

Valorant

It looks like Valorant is out there now for all to enjoy and we have some of the first gameplay to take in for Valorant to get you up to speed

This was a weird blink and you miss it kind of thing, but it looks like Valorant is out there for those looking for a new 5v5 hero shooter on the PC. This would be the one that Riot Games showed off a few months ago but did not give much in the way of details or when it would be hitting us all. At least not in a huge way. It does not matter though, as Valorant is out there for free to play as you are reading this and we have a little more to look at for the game. Something that makes my earlier thoughts on it all that much more relevant to it all.

As you will see here, we have a launch cinematic for Valorant and the first real gameplay loop of it all. The cinematic tries to dig into a bit more of the story or lore of the game world, but does not give up too much. It is just a fight between two of the characters in a way we will never get to recreate in the game. I say that as the gameplay we have does show off the other characters in Valorant but it looks like just the same level of chaos we see in these kinds of games. They all have cool looking things that can happen but when in practice players will never get to pull them off. It is the nature of the beast, I guess.

Valorant — Launch Cinematic

Valorant, the 5v5 character-based tactical shooter from Riot Games is free to download and play right now.

Valorant — Episode 1: IGNITION

If you’re reading this, it’s too late — Valorant is launching.

What’s new? Reyna is the latest Agent to join Valorant — straight from the heart of Mexico. Ascent, an open playground for small wars of position and attrition, enters the map pool. Spike Rush (beta) also arrives to deliver a fresh and more hectic flavor of Valorant.

Sage, Omen, Phoenix, Raze, and Jett all received a decent share of buffs and nerfs respectively to get them ready for launch. This patch also targeted the framerate drops some of you were getting during combat. The devil’s in the details, but know that getting performance where we want for all players is an ongoing process we hope to nail down in the next few patches.

Have you been up to date on Valorant so far or is this one big surprise that it is hitting us here? Do you think it looks like a bit of organized chaos or will we always be able to pull off the moves we see here in the gameplay? Do you think we will see more characters soon as it looks like we only have five to choose from in the first place here? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is more to share for Valorant, you know we will share it all here. Be sure to keep checking in on it all and more so you are not left in the dark.
