Things are about to pop off for John Carter: Warlord Of Mars as the John Carter IP has its Kickstarter starting next week
Things have been gearing up for John Carter: Warlord Of Mars to finally kick off and get funded out there. We have had little updates for the game up to now and have seen that Hypnotic Ants will be helping out to get the development flowing. Now we just have to wait and see if it has enough traction and more of the John Carter fans out there truly want a game based on the books here. It would be a new one to add to the PC and consoles if it does make it through. Something we can all get a taste for just before the Kickstarter pops off on March 1st here. Even if it does feel a bit jarring in the current state.
Obviously, all that we have here is in a very early state of things for John Carter: Warlord Of Mars. It does look like the game will be jumping between locations and historical places out there, even if we have had a lot of WWII over the years and feel like it could be given a rest again. That would be a little hard to do with the John Carter IP in general, but it could be something that holds it back. Have a look at the little bits we have as the team works on building the game in the Unreal Engine and hopefully get the full funds they need to bring their dream to life.

Here’s a little peek of the gameplay progress on Earth and there’s only one more week to go until Hypnotic Ants’ Kickstarter campaign goes live!
They have a sci-fi expert working on the game action on Mars and a historian writing the WWII section. They are following A Princess of Mars pretty closely for the Mars section and you will get to meet legendary Martian characters from the book!

In their game, they want to play at being spies in a tense ‘cat and mouse’ setting and then propel the action to the outrageous world of Barsoom, the name that Burroughs gave to Mars.
