Dying Light 2
Two more audio stories for Dying Light 2 have dropped to further expand how the survivors have made it from Dying Light
It is time to cozy up once again for Dying Light 2 and some of the other stories we can have and expect to build the world a bit more before launch. We have two new audio stories from Techland to take in and see how the world has evolved once more and the level of story we can expect as we parkour through the game’s world. It may not be to the same level we have here, with these being labeled as Urban Legends, but they do show how dark and light some of the tales can go. Just as Dying Light plays with the whole light and dark when it comes to the environment and time of day. That feels a bit interesting and poetic when it all boils down to it all. That or I am just reading into things a bit more than I should for these little tales to keep us excited for the game’s launch next year.
As mentioned, we have two stories to take in for Dying Light 2 that follow the stories of Antigone and Dedrick respectively. The first one dives into how love might be able to conquer all in this new world or explain how some of the weirdness still occurs to keep some of the infected at bay. An interesting one that could be all superstition to explain weird patterns, but still a little bit of an uplifting one in the dark world out there. The latter one dives right back in to show how the humans of Dying Light are the true monsters and force an individual down a dark path that leads to assured mutual destruction. Well, at least an attempt to it and explain away some of the other quirks we will be able to find in the game. Specifically, the reason that watchtowers and bell towers will have two humans in them at least.
Dying Light 2 — Audio Story: Antigone
In a place such as The City, where love is put to the hardest of tests — death, some people still find a way to overcome the challenges it presents. How? Listen to Antigone, our second audio story, and see for yourself.
Dying Light 2 — Audio Story: Dedrick
Listen to our new audio story and experience a tale about a father who’s lost his daughter in the middle of a post-apocalyptic city. When he finally finds her, he makes a choice that changes more than one life.
Do you think that these stories will have any true bearing on Dying Light 2 or will they just be fun promotional things to keep the wait for launch from being overwhelming? Do you think that there is more superstition in these stories than they let on to or could we see some of this play out with the humans and infected as the game continues on? Could these also be leaving in-game hints for us that we need to pay attention to as we clear enemy factions from an area? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. We will keep the news for Dying Light 2 flowing for you as fast as we can, so please keep a close on the site and our socials to be able to keep up.
