It seems as if even Gamescom 2023 is not going to be safe from the Killer Klowns out there. Not that we have reports that there are some killers on the loose out there, but more that Teravision Games is ready to offer up one more look at their upcoming title for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With 2023 quickly coming to a close, though, it is fitting and I know we all wanted to see some actual gameplay. Here, we get to see how a match in Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game might play out a little bit with some quick edits around the map. Given that we have another title out there now that has a three versus four multiplayer setup, adding in three more to the victim side of things does not change things up too much. Here we get to see three of the five Killer Klowns head out and hunt down various citizens that are trying to escape or fight back. All with the fun Klown gear from the film and the hilarity of the IP that comes with the horror. In the end, though, it is a creepy game of hide and seek we will get to play here.

Plan your own invasion and harvest humans as the iconic Killer Klowns, or gather a team of citizens to survive the extraterrestrial threat! In this 3v7 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, the human survivors will run, hide, and fight back against some very hungry Killer Klowns. Will you make it out alive?
- Take on the role of the iconic Killer Klowns – cooperate in a team of three players, utilize unworldly abilities, hunt humans with zany weapons, and plan your alien invasion to harvest the population of Crescent Cove successfully.
- Fight back as a team of seven brave citizens of Crescent Cove – explore the city for valuable loot and weapons, avoid getting captured by Klowns, and try to survive the alien invasion.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game will be coming for Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The lighting and atmosphere effects here are downright amazing and I hope they are not just for the trailer. There are multiple shots of the Killer Klowns just showing up as silhouettes in the night just before coming right at us, which will make the horror in the game a bit more terrifying than others that let us know the monsters are coming well beforehand. It is also nice to see that once one of the Killer Klowns or their minions get their hands on you, there is an over-the-top kind of thing that happens to add to the fun of it all and keep with the theme. Not just a basic death animation before you have to just watch the rest of the match play out.
In addition to all of that, the fact that there are some consequences for killing one of the Killer Klowns feels like it is a bit of a change to the style of the game it is here. Usually, it is just to escape the killers in these games. As we get a glimpse of here, though, we see that the Killer Klowns can be incorporated and it looks like it builds to a bigger thing out there. That falls in line with what I remember happening in the movie but it also feels like it will give the Citizen characters one more goal they can go for besides just sneaking off the map to safety. There is an invasion going on, after all.
