Knuckle Bumps To The Gamers Behind Fallout Nuka Break

Knuckle Bumps To The Gamers Behind Fallout Nuka Break

So there was that abomination that occurred with Mortal Kombat‘s web series. I’ve all but given up on trying to care about any web series that are based on popular video game franchises. That is until I caught Wayside Creations’ rendition of Fallout, aptly titled Fallout: Nuka Break.

Before you ask, this was created by fans of Fallout for fans of Fallout. The creator’s being a small independent production company. The same company that released the virally popular short film with the same title. It looks like they were able to raise enough money to go out and turn that 16 minute short into a web series.

So what, you may be thinking, is the premise of the series?

Months after their fight with some bounty hunters; Twig, Scar and Ben are just trying to get some caps to live.

Join Twig (Zack Finfrock), a former Vault Dweller, Ben (Aaron Giles), a radiation-ravaged ghoul, and Scarlett (Tybee Diskin), a sexy former slave as they attempt to survive the harsh wasteland that is Fallout.

If the title of the article doesn’t explain my feelings toward what you can see below, then let me spell it out. It captured a lot of the world and humor I found in Fallout almost perfectly. I also didn’t have to force myself to watch. I wanted to after the first minute unlike the new Mortal Kombat web series that got butchered. Keep up the awesome work guys. I can’t wait to see what episode two will have in it.
