It has been announced today, on the 10 year anniversary of God Of War, that we are getting God Of War 3 Remastered for the PS4 in July

We’ve all been waiting for a God Of War title to grace the PS4 since launch and now we are finally getting it in the way of God Of War 3 Remastered. It’s been ten years and three consoles since the first title came out so the time felt right for Sony Santa Monica to bring the last huge title out again. All of the other God Of War titles got the remaster/HD treatment so I guess God Of War 3 needed to go through the same action. I won’t complain as we are getting a God Of War title on the PS4 and as soon as July 14^th. July 17^th for the EU region.

So what new features are we getting for God Of War 3 Remastered? Well the standard 1080p and 60fps that are required now for the next gen upgraded titles. Not a huge shocker. What is really cool for God Of War 3 Remastered is that we are getting a photo mode as we have in inFAMOUS: Second Son and The Last Of Us Remastered. So now if you find a cool shot or want to capture a cool scene for yourself later, God Of War 3 Remastered will have that added in. I feel a whole lot of cool Hades fight shots for me when going through my gameplay in July.

If you need more reasons than that to pick up God Of War 3 Remastered and experience the game again on PS4 then there is one more thing. Just like all of the other remasters for God Of War this version will only run you $39.99 USD. Cheaper than the first version of the game and with the additions so it makes sense to add it all to the collection. I know that is another huge selling point for me with God Of War 3 Remastered given my personal past with the game. Look up that Last Titan Standing show and you’ll understand.

I am a bit curious as to why Sony Santa Monica just didn’t do a full God Of War Collection Remastered for the PS4 that bundles the whole franchise into one big game. They have already bought them all to the PS3 with HD remasters so it can’t be too much of a leap to bring them to the PS4. I know they are with the PS Now service but I want to have a huge box set or at least a bunch of discs to house in my Pandora’s Box I got for God Of War 3 the first time around.
