Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy
A new gameplay segment for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is here to show off how and whom the Guardians are trying to con
After the first mission trailer for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy popped up out there, I know I was curious to see how things could play out and expand down the line. For those that do not remember, this was the bit of the trailer to showed off the dialog options and how the game could shift based on our choices. Now, we get to see what Eidos-Montréal has in line for the Guardians after that choice and if we opted to put Groot in the big box to hand over to the collector we are dealing with. This time it is one that we have a better introduction to with Lady Hellbender dealing with us. That or we have to pull the wool over the eyes here to get paid and make sure we all get to leave.
Most of this scene is a bit of a cinematic with only one real gameplay segment for Guardians to take in before you get overly excited for a load of new gameplay. Not that this is a bad thing, but something to take note of as you watch the scene play out. It does lead to another choice we get to make in the story of the game after giving a better feel for how this antagonist will act in the game. It does raise a few other questions that I know the game will answer down the line, but it is nice to see a bit more of the game. Even if it is a little odd to have different voices coming out of our Guardians after having them set in place for so long with the films. That is just something we are all going to have to get used to over time as we have with the other titles out there.
Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy — Lady Hellbender
Meet Lady Hellbender: leader of the Hellraisers, queen of Seknarf Nine, and monster collector. In this scene, the Guardians try to con her by pretending to sell a “rare monster”, either Rocket or Groot, depending on the player’s choices. This is the start of a great love/hate relationship. (Mostly hate 👀)
Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is coming October 26, 2021 to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and streaming via GeForce now.
Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cloud Version for Nintendo Switch also coming on October 26.
Are you thrown off with the voices for these Guardians and would it have been worth it to get the actors to come if for the voice work on these too? How do you suspect things would play out if we opted for the other dialog choice here or will this be one of those that only gives a little shift in text but the same outcome? Do you think things would also play differently if it was Rocket in the box and not Groot? Let all of us know your thoughts on this and then discuss it all down in the comments. If there is more for Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, know that we will share it all here. All you need to do is keep checking back in for all of that and everything else we will have to offer up here soon.
