Alone In The Dark

The launch of Alone In The Dark is here and we can see just a bit more of the action Alone In The Dark will mix with the horror

It has been creeping in and we are finally here with the full launch for Alone In The Dark on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There has been a whole lot of teasing, behind-the-scenes, and promotion for this reimagining of the classic that Pieces Interactive has opted to take on, and now we get to see if it truly works. Even after some delays and shifts in release. All of this you most likely know, so we will just get on and have a look at Alone In The Dark and one more trailer to help sell us all on this trip into madness that is now out there. Let all of the horror seep into your brains now.

As with many video games out there, Alone In The Dark has one more trailer just for the launch. the twist here is that this one finally gives us a look at aspects of the game that felt like they were hidden before. We have seen a bit of the story and how this will be an investigation style of game at times, but we have not seen how we will deal with the monsters and horrors that are conjured up. Here, though, we get to see just how we are going to be handling all of this in Alone In The Dark and this is where the full action comes in. Emily and Edward are going more on the action-hero side to keep these things at bay, and it is exciting to see how it will break up the pace of the game in such a fun way. Have a look and see, if you are not just playing the game live as of right now in the first place.

Alone In The Dark — Launch Trailer

Alone In The Dark is OUT NOW!

A disturbing letter was sent by a missing person. An asylum shrouded in intrigue, guarding a terrible secret.

Private investigator Edward Carnby and his client Emily Hartwood find themselves in a desperate struggle for survival as reality starts to crumble around them.

Immerse yourself in a deep psychological story created by cult horror writer Mikael Hedberg (SOMA, Amnesia) and experience this nightmare from the perspective of one of two protagonists, brought to life by Hollywood talent Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Free Guy) and David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow).

Explore Derceto Manor in this reimagination of Alone In The Dark, a love letter to the 90’s cult classic horror game! Set in the gothic American South in the 1920s, Alone In The Dark features a noir setting with classical Lovecraftian horror elements, where the familiar meets the surreal.

  • Dive into a world full of sounds that make your skin crawl with a haunting, yet mesmerizing doom jazz soundtrack.
  • Enjoy the thrill of desperate survival in a world where reality starts to crumble, evil lurks in every shadow, and ammunition is scarce.
  • Experience this nightmare from either Emily Hartwood’s or Edward Carnby’s perspective and unearth the dark secrets of a gothic mansion.
  • Immerse yourself in a deep psychological story that goes beyond the realms of the imaginable, by Mikael Hedberg, cult horror writer of SOMA and Amnesia.

I was not sure how this combat was going to work in Alone In The Dark, but after this little bit, I am all-in. It feels as if they took the perfect lessons from other horror titles that have done this well and then mixed it right in while giving it the flare this game needs for it. I am hopeful that they space all of this out in Alone In The Dark so that we get a perfect blending of it all and not just a few fast scenes that will make the slower ones feel like they take forever to get through. All of the footage we have seen for the game up to now has been more on the slower side, so we know there is going to be a lot of that in the first place. It is now time to see.

How are you feeling about the extra little action we have here for Alone In The Dark and will it give you the perfect breaks needed in the game? Do you think we will get these often or will they be fleeting so we can focus on the story and drama more? Are you already playing this game and taking a short break just to see this little trailer? Take some time, head into the comments, and then discuss it all. We will share all that we can for Alone In The Dark as we get it all, so please keep on checking back for all of those updates and more. We should have something unless all of our assumptions were wrong about this title.
