Let Us See How The Dev Approached Hardspace: Shipbreaker

Hardspace: Shipbreaker

A new developer diary for Hardspace: Shipbreaker is here to show how the team approached making Hardspace: Shipbreaker and how close it can be to a real thing

We all need a good escape from this planet and we have one coming up soon with Hardspace: Shipbreaker as it goes into Early Access on June 16th. That is still a bit of a ways away, but it is something to look at and get ready for from Blackbird Interactive. We all have to have something to look forward to at this point, right? That is why it is good to see more like Hardspace: Shipbreaker offering up on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One here. Also with a new look at just how close to a real thing the game could be. That is if we were actually able to get to space and had all of these ships out there to break up.

Here we are with the latest for Hardspace: Shipbreaker, though, with a look at how it is all coming together and the approach the team has taken with building the game. We have seen how some of the basics will play out already, but now we have a little more on how some of the stories will be given out and how the debt system will work along the way. We are going to get to respawn in Hardspace: Shipbreaker and that is how the company will keep us forever linked in and working. At least the ships will have data logs and audio to fill out what is going on besides being just a basic work simulator. Something that it sounds like the team has hit on the head from actual shipbreakers out there. The terrestrial kind and not the space kind that is.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker — Webseries | Ep 1 — The Approach

In today’s episode, Blackbird Interactive offers the first deep dive into Hardspace: Shipbreaker’s universe and gameplay, as well as the player’s purpose within the harsh setting. The Canadian studio is currently best known for its work on the Homeworld franchise, including the upcoming Homeworld 3, as well as their collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in creating Project Eagle. These unique experiences, along with a burning passion for immersive sci-fi, have made for the perfect conditions from which Hardspace: Shipbreaker emerged.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker launches in Steam Early Access on June 16 2020, and is available to wishlist now. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases are planned at a later date.

Are you further excited for Hardspace: Shipbreaker after all of this or will you be waiting to see how the Early Access goes? Do you think that we are going to get a full story in the mix or will a lot be missed given the dynamic nature of the game? Could we actually be able to get out of debt and have a different game if we read the starting contract? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. For more on Hardspace: Shipbreaker, be sure to keep checking in here. We will keep all of the information flowing out to you as best as we can.
