Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP
A new remake is finally shown for Lollipop Chainsaw with the first look at Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP coming in a few months
There was the slight announcement that we were going to be seeing another release of Lollipop Chainsaw not too long ago. It was a little update over X(Twitter) and that Dragami Games was looking to bring it to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. Some time has now passed and here we are with the official announcement for this project. Get ready to see Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP out there and on September 25th of this year. Not too long from now and you will be joining the Starling clan in cutting down some of the undead in some of the most provocative ways you can think of. If you, at least, remember how it all went down back in 2012.
So, it can be confirmed that this is more of a remake than it is a remaster for Lollipop Chainsaw and will come with all of the other flashy visuals the modern consoles can now pump out there. Along with that, we are going to see some massive quality-of-life changes to the game to make it feel like it was made in this decade instead of from the past one, some new game content, and pretty much everything else shifting except the story and characters. Those will be the same in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. There is a new mode that we can play in this version of the game too, and it will be one that turns all of the gore and violence back on since this one, by default, will use a bit less and lean into a POP style of art. That is the version you can see below, but do know that the hyper-violence of the original will be in there if you so want to turn it on.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP — Announcement
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a remake of the original Lollipop Chainsaw (2012).
RePOP is a definitive version of the game that leaves the story unchanged, with a focus on quality-of-life improvements and additional gameplay content.
In the first trailer, watch for the legendary zombie hunter Juliet, who makes a comeback in 4K!
I was a huge fan of Lollipop Chainsaw back when it came out, and not because of the provocative nature of it all. It took a fun concept and tried to blend it well out there for an audience that was craving something like it. It also had some fun gameplay and I am curious to see what has been shifted from the old version to this version. I am a fan of the team also trying to keep the classic gameplay mixed in even if it was a true sign of the times that Lollipop Chainsaw originally came out and could cause an issue with more modern eyes on the game. Even if it is still going to do that with the way the characters are designed and act in the first place. No matter the case, I am going to be adding this one to my list of titles to play in September and maybe use it as a solid break between all of the other horror we will see in October.
What do you think about this new version of Lollipop Chainsaw and will it hit just as well as it did before? Will the new mode be the way most players will go in for the game or will they opt to go back to the classic style quickly after? What other gameplay elements are you hoping are making it into this version of the game and will it add more than just things to kill and collect along the way? Slice your way down to the comment section to start the discussion on all of this. We will have a lot more to offer up for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP as soon as it starts to flow out more. Please keep on coming back to see and hear about all of that as it does flow out there.
