Looks Like There Are Bad Batches Of Antizin In Dying Light

Dying Light

Techland does April Fool’s right with a nice little joke added in for Dying Light for the one day only

Tomorrow is a date that I usually loath but it looks like Dying Light is going to be giving us all something to enjoy instead of the normal BS of April Fool’s day. It looks like the next patch, which will be free to all for one day only, will completely alter some of the stats of your character in the game. It looks like instead of making some elaborate hoax, Techland is taking the joke and giving it to us in the way of crazy super-strength in Dying Light. Technically all of us can be superheroes in the game and not just bad-ass parkour runners.

You can look into the additions for Dying Light in the following trailer that was released but as the story goes, all of the Antizin in Harran has been tainted and everyone is urged NOT to use it because of side effects. This would be the fictional drug that halts the spread of the zombie infection in Dying Light‘s world for those not in the know here. The side effects look like they will insanely boost the strength of the player as well as give them runner abilities they may not have access to as of yet.

I am a bit curious if this will also affect the weapons and the damage that they can take in the game. If you don’t remember, in Dying Light weapons are degradable and I can only see having super strength actually breaking everything quite a bit faster than normal. It may be worth a test with a lower end weapon in Dying Light tomorrow if you are going to try and plow through everything during the one day run of the “bad batch.”

Dying Light — Important Public Service Announcement

“All undelivered Antizin crates have been destroyed, and we would like to assure the survivors that untainted drops will resume as of April 2nd. We urge all the survivors to use extreme care when exhibiting symptoms of the contaminated Antizin injections.” – says Hudson Jenkins, spokesman for the GRE.

This is how all of those dumb April Fool’s style of jokes should be in the gaming industry don’t you think? Actually make the joke a real thing even if it is for only a short period. I’m glad that Techland is doing just that with Dying Light and not showing us something amazing that never will be. Do you agree? Do you care? Leave those thoughts down in the comments below.
