King's Quest
A new developer diary for King’s Quest has been released showing off the voice cast that will help The Odd Gentlemen bring King’s Quest to life
With a great narrative franchise like King’s Quest has had and what we expect in our games moving forward, The Odd Gentlemen have their work cut out for them. Especially give the franchise’s past and what nostalgic gamers are going to want to see from the new iteration of the franchise. I don’t envy the developer at all here as they have a huge light on them and fans of the franchise over the long run will be rough. I guess it is a good thing that they are looking to a bunch of people who are used to that form of light to help bring the world and characters of King’s Quest back to life. And lucky us, we get to see who is lending their talents here.
Sierra has released a new behind the scenes video for King’s Quest and for the first time we get to see the voice talent being tapped for the huge roles. Like Christopher Lloyd (Suburban Commando, Dream Team), (Hercules, Josh Keaton The Secret World of Alex Mack), and Wallace Shawn (Mom and Dad Save the World, Clueless) to name a few are lending their specific voices to help entice us to want to stay and listen as well as feel all warm and fuzzy while going through the full adventure. Of course there are a whole lot more to list off and be seen in the following video but those are the big standouts to me for King’s Quest. That and the new bits of gameplay to be seen for each character and actor focused on.
Have a look at a bit more of the voice cast for King’s Quest now. To try and be thorough the rest of the listed cast so far is: Maggie Elizabeth Jones, Tom Kenny, Zelda Williams, Michael Benyaer, Loretta Devine, Gideon Emery, Jean Gilpin, Michael Gough, Andy Pessoa, Kevin Michael Richardson, Kath Soucie, Fred Tatasciore, Richard White, and Michael-Leon Wooley. You can look them all up on your own time after watching what we have for King’s Quest here.
King’s Quest — Voicing A Modern Classic
I’ll be honest; I am sold after seeing Christopher Lloyd playing the elder King Graham in King’s Quest. Especially after finding out that the main narrative will be his character retelling the adventures of his youth which will of course lead to the action we are going to be looking for as far as gameplay. King’s Quest is shaping up to have it all for me, currently. I can’t wait for the first chapter to land later this year. You can look forward yourself to seeing King’s Quest on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and/or PC yourself.
Now that you have seen a bit more of the voice cast for King’s Quest what are your feelings toward the game? Are you as stoked as I am to spend some time listening to Fester Addams/Prof Plum telling us the tales of King’s Quest? How about the rest of the cast? Did you even see the obscure films/shows listed for the actors above? Let us all know your new thoughts on King’s Quest down in the comments.
