Marvel’s Midnight Suns is announced out of gamescom this year and looks to bring the Midnight Suns to us in a tactical RPG
This year’s gamescom is underway and one of the more shocking titles to get announced so far is, Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Yes, we are getting another Marvel game to enjoy and this one is coming at us from Firaxis Games and 2K Games. Both of which are some powerhouses out there, but also do point to what Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be giving us in March of 2022 when the game hits the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. The whole array of systems and a wider cast of characters beyond what the other recent titles are offering up. Parts of the Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and other characters known for the darker side of the Marvel Universe will be out there to help save us all one more time.
Beyond this announcement, there is not much more dropped on us for Midnight Suns beyond the following cinematic trailer and that it is a tactical RPG coming from the team that brought us XCOM. Well, beyond the fact that we will see the mother of demons, Lilith, brought back by Hydra. A terrible thing as Lilith will be looking to bring Chthon back and all of the horrors that will bring to us too. That is why the Midnight Suns are called in to help out where the rest cannot get the job done with their specific skills and gear. A team that is comprised of Nico Minoru, Blade, Magik, and Ghost Rider. All so they can give us a new hero just for the game called The Hunter who happens to also be the child of Lilith out there.
The trailer we have here for Marvel’s Midnight Suns does make it feel like we might have more characters to play with in the mix, but that is speculation as of now. We are going to have to wait a bit until we get some solid gameplay in a few weeks to know for certain. Even if the visuals we have here do allude to other heroes getting covered in that great Hellfire to get them ready to fight the horrors of the Underworld and not leave this on the shoulders of the four Midnight Suns listed there. Even if a few others outside the team could work a bit better than what we get to be excited for just below.

2K and Marvel Entertainment announced today Marvel’s Midnight Suns, a new tactical RPG set in the darker side of the Marvel Universe that brings players face-to-face against supernatural forces as they team up with and live among the Midnight Suns, Earth’s last line of defense against the underworld. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is currently scheduled for launch in March 2022, and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Through a twisted marriage of magic and science, the nefarious force known as Hydra has revived Lilith, Mother of Demons, after centuries of slumber. Lilith will stop at nothing to complete an ancient prophecy and summon her evil master, Chthon. Pushed to the brink, the Avengers desperately look to fight fire with Hellfire by enlisting the help of the Midnight Suns – Nico Minoru, Blade, Magik, and Ghost Rider – young heroes with powers deeply rooted in the supernatural, formed to prevent the very prophecy Lilith aims to fulfill. Together, they resurrect an ancient warrior – the Hunter, Lilith’s forsaken child and the only hero known to have ever defeated her.
