We have a plethora of new screens for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Look it’s Psycho Mantis!

We are quickly coming up on the launch of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes so it’s good that we are getting a few new screen shots to help tide us over until that date. Most of them look lifted from gameplay videos that we have seen before or just title screens so…wait a hot minute…is that Psycho Mantis? Holy crap it is and in his PS1 low res glory. Maybe it is worth a deeper look at all of these new screens just to see what else we have going on here. Sound good to you? Of course it does.

Ok, so that really seems like the only oddball in the bunch to me. It just leads me to wonder, what will his role be in Ground Zeroes? Will he be a flashback? Will he have a whole upgraded look and this is just part of the Déjà Vu mode of the game? We have a few other shots that are part of that mode so we can hope right? At least that is what I am going to do as Psycho Mantis is still my favorite of all the main enemies in the Metal Gear universe. I won’t go all nostalgic on you here though.

We are only a few weeks out from launch now so we won’t have to wait much longer to play and see how it is all linked. Now it’s time for me to get back to thinking in the past and maybe cracking open the old games again in preparation. I think I may just do that this weekend.
