Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War
The first bit of gameplay for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is finally here and now we can see how Shadow Of War has progressed from its predecessor
Just as promised last week, here we go with some solid new gameplay for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Not only does it show off some amazing combat but it looks like Monolith Productions has gone out of their way to vastly improve the Nemesis mechanic in the game as it could very well leap over to many other aspects and characters in the game. Mix that in with some cinematic and over-the-top looking battles, Shadow Of War looks just like where the game needed to head toward and so far so good. Especially since it looks like things can go well or south real fast depending on how you deal with the aftermath of taking down an enemy stronghold.
I won’t force you to read more for now as I am sure you want to dive into the first major gameplay for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Brace yourselves as it is a hefty sixteen-minutes worth of it all that shows off some of your allied characters to massive combat to how each of the warlords in the game will have their own specific setup that will look and play differently based on how you play. Damn near amazing if you ask me.

Witness firsthand the next generation of the innovative Nemesis System—featuring the addition of Nemesis Fortresses—where players must utilize different strategies to conquer dynamic strongholds and forge their personalized Orc army. In this video, Talion and Celebrimbor have used the power of the New Ring to recruit Followers in their assault on a fortress in the mountain valley of Seregost. This is just one of the millions of possibilities that players will experience in Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War.
That was a pretty epic fight that we had here now wasn’t it? We were able to see just how dynamic and fluid combat can be in Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War as well as the multiple ways you can deal with your enemies and Nemesis in the game’s world. I’m still not completely certain on how your enemies will be dynamically setting up strongholds that will be different each time, but I am totally digging the fact that you can get some major benefit or royally screwed depending on who you leave in charge for said stronghold. It looks like we’ll have to be just as careful there as we will be in the full combat in Shadow Of War. As if we needed to expect less from Monolith Productions though.
