Until Dawn
A few more screenshots for Until Dawn have been released for all of the news outlets not lucky enough to play the alpha build of Until Dawn
It looks like preview builds for Until Dawn have been making the rounds to all of the outlets that sell their services so they can help promote a game that isn’t getting much backing from the publisher as it would seem. This of course means that the rest of us get some nice new screenshots for Until Dawn fresh from what Supermassive Games wants to share with us so as not to spoil anything. That would be a great letdown for Until Dawn if we spoiled all of the great PS4 horror fun before it launched on August 25th wouldn’t it? You know it would so we are not going to even leave that open for debate here.
All of that said above, sadly we only have these new screenshots for Until Dawn and nothing more in terms of mechanics, story, or actors; because the actors are a big deal here in Until Dawn after all. Even most of the preview plays are a bit lacking on anything other than a bit of spoilers for two of the group of friends as they show the same motion mechanics and winter wonderland environment that we will help guide them all through. Just more on how pretty Until Dawn is going to be. It is going to be pretty after all and that is a huge feather in the cap of Supermassive Games if I say so… and I do.
Not to be completely empty handed in way of gameplay updates for Until Dawn, it does look like those questions that help tailor the horror to your flavor a bit more will be at more locations than just the beginning. Apparently there are breaks in-between a few chapters where we take on a first person role in Until Dawn and are in a psychologist’s office being asked more of those questions. Things like “Do you find Clowns scarier than Scarecrows?” and the like. All of which to make sure the slasher of Until Dawn can draw upon our own fears in the game to suck us in even more. So in the end Until Dawn will always be updating to keep our fears flowing in.
Are you still excited for Until Dawn or even more so after seeing and reading all of the above? Did it fall off your radar and hope that Supermassive Games and PlayStation do something to make us all remember that August 25th is when the horror will begin? Let us know where you are in that thought process down in the comments. Also keep your browser here as we will have more updates for Until Dawn as they get released even if we are not on the “preferred media” list to try and get the “right spin” on what Until Dawn is all about. We are fans not hired help after all.
