Mortal Kombat 1
The first guest fighter for Mortal Kombat 1 is flying in soon with Omni-Man entering the Mortal Kombat universe finally
We all knew Omni-Man was coming to Mortal Kombat 1, and now we get to see just what that means. All to get us ready for the first of the DLC to drop in the game and for NetherRealm Studios to have another of the superhero IPs crossover again. Even if this would be a character that should be able to destroy pretty much every character in the Mortal Kombat universe with some level of ease. Although, I am sure that we will have some kind of explanation so we can fully enjoy all of it on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. This November, even if there is not a specific date listed for it all at this point.
As you will see in the small little bit we have here for Omni-Man, we do get to see him face off with some of the gods in the Mortal Kombat universe here. A nice choice to show that the Viltrum Empire might not be able to rule them all. Omini-Man does still get the upper hand in the fights, but that is to show off the cool things added into Mortal Kombat 1 that will link into the visuals we saw in the cartoon version of the Invincible series. Even if some of it did play out in the comics too, the locomotion of it all does play a bit better in the mix. Yes, the pun was also intended for that and you will soon get to know what is up.
Mortal Kombat 1 — Omni-Man First Look
The realms will tremble under the weight of the Viltrum Empire. Omni-Man approaches our timeline.
It’s In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities!
When it comes to adding in characters like this for the Mortal Kombat universe, it does take a bit of suspension of disbelief with things. Even if it would make more sense to have Omni-Man face off with Homelander here. That is something we will have to wait until 2024 to see, though. Even if I am glad to see the throwbacks to the source material of it all while giving us the same fun that Mortal Kombat is known for. Although, I do need to see just what kind of fighter that Omni-Man is here since he does feel like he would be more of a grapple fighter than just one that hits and moves. Maybe there is a reason for him to be more of a distance fighter too.
Are you ready for Omni-Man to enter the world of Mortal Kombat or will you be waiting until we get all of the DLC out there? Do you think we will have more of the references from the Amazon show than the comics for the character? Why do you think Omni-Man will be downgraded in power here or will it all be “video game magic” at the end of it all? Head into the comment section to discuss it all and more. There is a whole lot more for Mortal Kombat 1 on the way, so please keep on checking in for all of that and much more. I cannot wait until Peacemaker more than anything when all is said and done.
