Mortal Kombat 1 Is Getting Us Ready To Launch Into A Fight

Mortal Kombat 1

One last trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 is here and it highlights yet another fighter from Mortal Kombat past

The fight is almost on for Mortal Kombat 1 with the launch of the game hitting still on September 19th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Now that we are ever so close to the launch, and a bit as expected from NetherRealm Studios, we have one final trailer to look at for the game. A new trailer that gets us ready for the launch while also showing off more for Reiko from the past of Mortal Kombat. All while giving us a taste of the various other ways we will be able to play the game and experience something new to the IP in such a long time. Kick back and get ready to see what is about to come our way in this one.

There is not all much to say for this other Mortal Kombat character on the roster as while we do get a bit more focus on the fighter in the shots, there is no real definition to how they will play or function in the game. I know, that may feel like a bit of a miss here, but we do get to see that we are going to have all manner of non-fighting gameplay in the mix of things too. Weird, I know, but we do get to see that Mortal Kombat 1 will have various other challenges for us to participate through a different world map of sorts. It looks like this will be the version of the “Krypt” in the game for us to unlock various things along the way for the game. I have a feeling this is also where some of the hidden Easter Eggs will be and maybe some of the other skins we might be looking for. Hopefully, it will not be how we unlock more of the Kameos along the way.

Mortal Kombat 1 — Launch Trailer

Welcome to the New Era. Will you fight for peace, or embrace the khaos?

It’s In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities!

None of this is to say that we are not excited for Mortal Kombat 1 over here as a whole. Just an odd way to go about sharing all of this just before the game fully launches in a week. I have a feeling the team will give us a few more deep dives into all of this since it was mostly hinted at from other behind-closed-doors showings that most did not get to head out for. Maybe this was to hide some of the other characters that we had yet to hear about, or maybe this was to obfuscate the use of many of the past Mortal Kombat playing a larger influence on this one. Nonetheless, it is how it played out and now we get to see just what new things are going to be in the mix for the gameplay that is not the fighting aspect. Soon we shall see.

Is it interesting to you to see so many of the Mortal Kombat characters from some of the “failed” titles here now or is there going to be a bigger reason for all of this? Will these extra bits of gameplay give us the proper breaks from the intense combat of it all or will they be a different grind to unlock features of the game? Do you even care and just want to school all of your friends in the game already? Take that all down to the comments and fight it out there in discussion. More for Mortal Kombat 1 is surely to come out soon, so please keep on checking in here for all of those updates and many others as we get ever closer to the full launch of the game.
