Mortal Kombat X Gets Inflated With Mortal Kombat XL In March

Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat XL has just been announced for March and Mortal Kombat XL will house everything that has been released for the game to date for the PS4 and Xbox One

If you have been holding out on Mortal Kombat X for the consoles then it looks like you are going to be rewarded with Mortal Kombat XL. Yes, NetherRealm Studios has another version of their latest game coming out and this one houses everything to date for MKX in one location. Mortal Kombat XL is hitting on March 1st in the US and March 4th in Europe. Currently there is no price listed for Mortal Kombat XL but I am going to say it will be safe to assume the usual full price for a brand new video game given all of the DLC included.

Of course if you are looking to Mortal Kombat XL on the PC you are out of luck as it will only be hitting the PS4 and Xbox One. This makes sense, at least in terms of release, as the Kombat Pack 2 won’t be hitting the PC version of Mortal Kombat X in the first place and it one of the selling points of Mortal Kombat XL here. Kind of a slap in the face to the PC world based on all of the stuff that has happened with PC gamers and Warner Bros. as of late but that is the state of Mortal Kombat XL and there is no changing it.

Mortal Kombat XL — Announcement

Here’s a list of everything that will be included in the Mortal Kombat XL version of the current franchise. It does look like there are a few other surprises mixed in from the above trailer but here is exactly what NetherRealm Studios has officially stated will be in Mortal Kombat XL.

  • Brand new playable characters the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series, Triborg and Bo’Rai Cho
  • Never released Apocalypse Skin Pack
  • Previously released content including playable Goro, Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Skin Pack and Kold War Scorpion Skin
  • Playable characters Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tremor and Tanya, with each accompanied by three themed skins
  • Samurai Skin Pack

Are you now ready to pick up the game as we have Mortal Kombat XL to look forward to now? Are you as confused by the lack of PC support for the DLC and game here? Do you think we will get another beefed up version of Mortal Kombat XL in terms of Mortal Kombat XXL when and if a Kombat Pack 3 is made by NetherRealm Studios? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. As we get further updates for Mortal Kombat XL out of Warner Bros. we will update you all here on the site. Keep it locked in here so you don’t miss a thing.
