A new FPS title, Mothergunship, has been announced and Mothergunship looks to bring both some bullet-hell as well as modular weapon crafting to us
If you’ve been feeling like there have been a lack of solid, shoot-the-hells-out-of-everything, FPS games out there then you’ll be glad to see that Mothergunship is on its way to sate that hunger. This would be the most recent title announced from Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games that pits you into the mix of shoot first and ask questions never kind of game play. At least from the first trailer we have here for Mothergunship announcing that it is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the future. You know, to sate that hunger from all of the straight forward murder in FPS games we already have.
To set Mothergunship apart from other games like it though, we will be getting a gun crafting system to allow us to make whatever kind of gun we may want to use in the game. You can see some of it down in the gameplay video but some descriptions give us things like a twelve-barrel gun that shoots homing rockets or a gun that has a fish tank attached to it. All the better to slay the plethora of aliens and robots in Mothergunship. Who wouldn’t want something like that in general? For those wanting, it looks like your wishes are being granted in one way. Maybe not all of your games though.
Mothergunship — Announcement Teaser
Mothergunship mixes bullet-hell intensity with the shooting, customization, and traversal of the first-person genre. Fight your way through the alien fleets, facing randomized enemy and level mayhem as you clear rooms and take out some of the biggest bosses seen in the FPS genre.
Mothergunship will also feature a co-op mode in the game. It sounds like it will be more along the lines of an online community instead of playing on your couch co-op but none the less it will allow you to double up the hail of bullets in the game’s world. You know, because we need twenty-four barrels firing homing missiles in all of these environments. Although that would most likely bring on a pretty epic color array in the space skylines that we can see here. Oh the pretty colors and everything…
