Music & Magic Will Bring Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA To Life

Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA

Have a look at Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA as we aim to head to the land of IONIA in the first of many VR games in this line

We have a new fantasy anthology heading to our VR platforms out there and now we get a little more of a taste for the one that is kicking it off with Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA. This would be the first from ROTU Entertainment in their Rhythm Of The Universe series that aims to span a planned seven titles. Quite an undertaking for the studio to have for the VR and PSVR platforms out there, but I will take it and hope for the best. Especially when you find out that IONIA will be giving us some interesting ways to handle magic as we explore in the way of a music-based system. We can also look at it as music is magical, but given that it will be part of the gameplay I will say it looks to be more rhythm-based to help us through it all.

Below, we have a cinematic trailer for Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA that shows off the new lands and goes into the main agenda for this title. We will be setting out to save the Harpa and thus the world will be wandering in. All in a virtual setting that looks like it will be stunning to climb around in with our virtual hands. Among solving musical puzzles and unlocking more of the world of IONIA to explore. It has been a good while since we have had a solid title as this looks like it could be. Have a gander just below to see what I am talking about and then get ready to wait until 2021 to be able to give this one a go and then carry on further down the road.

Rhythm Of The Universe — IONIA

IONIA is a single-player VR fantasy-adventure puzzle game built to push the limits of PC VR. In this game, you’ll get up close with unique creatures, solve puzzles as you explore ancient ruins, and use music-based magic on your quest to save the Harpa, a mythical creature whose habitat is on the brink of destruction.

  • Save The Harpa — The Harpa is the heart and soul of the Ionian forest. With every tree felled and burned by the approaching Tritone army, her spirit weakens. You and your sister Allegra are Ionia’s brave new heroes, embarking on a quest to heal this mythical creature with the power of music before it’s too late. As you follow Allegra on her journey to save the Harpa, you’ll soon discover that your every action has an impact on the world around you.
  • Music & Magic Awaits — This storytelling VR game is a stunning visual and auditory escape that allows you to interact with unique creatures, characters, and plant life. Hear the call of the mighty Brassaurus, ride on the back of a giant tortoise along an underground river, and solve musical puzzles that unlock even more for you to explore.
  • Explore Ionia — Inspired by music mythology, Ionia is a fantasy world brimming with interactive plant and animal life. Find and forage food for glowing Ocarinas, see breathtaking vistas as you zipline through wide canyons, climb winding vines in the canopy of ancient trees, and bask in the bioluminescent glow from the depths of a watery cave. The world of Ionia will surround you.
  • Play With Purpose — While you will be able to use music-based magic to help save creatures inside the game, every purchase will also benefit real-world wildlife, with a portion of proceeds going directly to nonprofits that combat climate change.

How does this new world sound to you and will IONIA be more than just a basic rhythm game along the way? Do you think that we will see all of the anthology here or will it be planned one at a time just in case the idea does not take off? How do you think the music and magic will be blended in this or will it just be making the plant instruments play at the right time and not much more? Let us have all of those thoughts and ideas down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is more for Rhythm Of The Universe: IONIA, we will add it all here. Just be sure to keep checking in for all of that and much, much more.
