Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden
A new developer diary for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is here to shows us how we should always be planning our steps in Mutant Year Zero
Heads up as we have even more Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden to look at this week with a new dive into the tactical combat we are going to experience with a little twist. The twist being what we have seen from The Bearded Ladies so far as we will be able to free roam an area until spotted or we choose to fire off an ambush. More or less what we have been shown by Funcom in all of those past videos, but we will not scoff at getting to see even more on Mutant Year Zero. Not one little bit. Even if a good chunk of it here is what we have seen already. That is a good thing, though, as we do not want to spoil the game before December 4th.
The interesting factoid here for Mutant Year Zero is that there is a lot of emphasis on planning and setting up your own strategy in the game. Like a whole lot and it is good that we are getting the “twist” in here as it does lend itself to just that. Being able to live scout out and then place yourself before combat fires off is a huge advantage in games like this and the source material. Any tabletop player will tell you that and it looks like it is being done correctly here in Mutant Year Zero. At least from what we have seen thus far. We will obviously know more after the demo hits those who pre-ordered and can dig into the nitty gritty of it all.
For the rest of you out there, sit back and get ready to enjoy one more look at Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden here. It is short and sweet, but also give us a lot to work with and start our planning for the game now. It is what it is all about I guess.
Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden — Tactical Combat With A Twist
Today, Funcom has released a brand-new video taking you behind the scenes on the development of Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden, where lead devs from The Bearded Ladies explain just how all this works.
Are you already planning for your excursion into Mutant Year Zero here or are you just now getting that going? Do you think there will be a way to brute-force our way through the game or will there be specific locations where we will have to always use stealth? Do you think that more video games based on pen and paper games should go this route when applicable? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As more for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden comes out there, we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep coming back so you can see and hear every last bit of it.
