Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island
The release window for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is set and shortly after many have just heard of Mythwrecked
I feel like I have fallen behind on some of the fun titles coming out there after getting to see Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island get a solid highlight in the past weeks. I think this is more on myself than it is with Polygon Treehouse or Whitethorn Games giving us a good offering for the game, but here we are to look at it. Fresh off the bigger showcase it just had, though, now we get to see just about when Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island will be hitting the market out there. With the release window is now set for the Summer of 2024. Okay, so a year from now. That gives us a bunch of time to catch up and see just what we have missed for the game up to now.
Since many of us are not in the know for Mythwrecked, this is a game that will place us in the role of a backpacker that finds themselves stranded on an island. The island happens to be Ambrosia Island and as we explore, we get to run into many of the ancient Greek gods that are also populating the island. All with the twist that these gods do not remember who they are and what they do. So, our hero Alex must set forth in Mythwrecked to help them all remember and restore some kind of balance out there. The usual thing we can expect in a title such as this one.
Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island — Launch Window
The sun-drenched shores of Ambrosia Island are yours to explore next summer, in Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island invites you to take on the role of backpacker Alex, who has found herself stranded on the gorgeous shores of Ambrosia Island. As she begins to explore her surroundings, she discovers that she is not alone – the island is populated by the gods of Greek myth and legend! However, something is amiss – the gods are unable to remember who they are. In order to find her way home, she must befriend the inhabitants and help them to restore their memories.
Explore the dynamic island in this non-linear adventure and unravel its story to discover its celestial guests and build friendships with the gods through a unique relationship mechanic. The closer you become, the more they are willing to help Alex with their godly powers. Solve the mystery of Ambrosia Island, save the gods, and hopefully help Alex find a way back home!
I do hope that in the coming year of development for Mythwrecked that we get some kind of true voice acting in the mix of things. It is always a bother to me when the team gives us all the text to read and then uses mumbled wording to indicate someone is also talking. I would rather just read the text instead of all of that. Given that we still have a year, though, I can see the team having this all just as placeholder noise while things are being recorded. That will be my hope for now at the very least. Now I just need to stay close to Mythwrecked to see how it all goes and then play it all next Summer.
Have you been keeping watch on Mythwrecked before now or is this all the same kind of update many of us are going through? Do you think it will be early in the Summer of next year we get to see what is going or could it be near the end? Will these voices just be placeholders for now and could we get some true voice work mixed in over time? Take to the comment section and discuss it all as you so wish to do. There will be more for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island now that it is on the radar. Please keep checking back in for all of those updates and many, many more.
