Nakwon: Last Paradise Is Opening Up Into A Pre-Alpha Gameplay

Nakwon: Last Paradise

Those looking to experience Nakwon: Last Paradise early can do so next week when Nakwon: Last Paradise opens up some gameplay

It is not the holiday season or Black Friday if we do not have some kind of zombie outbreak and Nakwon: Last Paradise is looking to give us a little bit of that. This is the upcoming Stealth Survival title that MINTROCKET is working on and they have brought the announcement that we will be able to play it in a pre-alpha stage next week. In fact, we will be able to experience a bit of what Nakwon: Last Paradise has to offer up between November 29th until December 3rd. At least for those out there who look to wishlist this title and are selected to give it all a go. It sounds like it might be a little on the exclusive side if that entices you all a little more.

While it might feel a little intuitive given the setting of Nakwon: Last Paradise, here we will take on the role of someone caught in the apocalypse where guns are scarce. Not only that, but with the finite resources in this urban jungle, we will have to survive not only the zombies but also other living players in the mix too. All using stealth, distractions, cunning, and the dead to help us along the way. All to put our skills to the test and see if we can survive what Nakwon has to throw at us all. If you need to see some of this realistic urban extraction gameplay, then take your eyes a little lower down to see how the game might play out for you in the mix. If you are selected and are also able to fend off against the various enemies you might encounter along the way out there.

Nakwon: Last Paradise — Gameplay

MINTROCKET announced the pre-alpha playtest of its upcoming zombie apocalypse stealth survival game, Nakwon: Last Paradise. Alongside this announcement, the team shared a first look at the game’s hair-raising close combat in a new gameplay trailer. Players eager to test out the realistic urban extraction gameplay set in Seoul can wishlist the game on Steam to receive an email alert when the event kicks off; the playtest itself runs from November 29th at 17:00 PST to December 3rd at 23:59 PST.

Seoul is a city where guns are scarce, but hiding spots are plentiful within its clustered buildings and alleys, making it the perfect backdrop for Nakwon’s blend of realistic simulation and extraction stealth gameplay. In Nakwon, citizens must rely on their wits, stealth, and cunning to avoid or misdirect the dangerous undead who roam the streets. The Nakwon governing body mandates regular scouting missions, in which citizens must brave a lawless urban zone where zombies aren’t the only threats — the greed of other players seeking scavenged supplies can be just as deadly.

Players who wishlist Nakwon: Last Paradise on Steam will receive an alert when the pre-alpha playtest starts on November 29th. Participation in the playtest is free, and there is no limit on the number of survivors who can join the event.

Sometimes I wish that video games like Nakwon: Last Paradise would also lean into the daylight aspect of the world and not always the nighttime play. I understand that night and limited visibility raise the tension and horror but it is always a nice change when we get a title that does that. Maybe that is in here somewhere in Nakwon and we just have yet to see it, it is just all of the gameplay thus far focuses on the night, and when stealth is a little easier. Imagine how rough it would be if it was bright and not only the zombies but other living could spot you if you were not perfectly careful along the way. That kind of tension could be vastly superior if pulled off correctly. Maybe this test will have it in there and we will see some of that gameplay flow out there along the way at some point.

Are you going to try to enter into the world of Nakwon next week or will you wait to see how everyone else handles it? Do you think we could get some daytime gameplay or will it always be night in the game for whatever reason? Do you think that having other players as the living will make the game harder or lead to players trolling each other along the way instead of grouping up and solving the issues together? Head into the comment section to discuss all of that and let the world know what is on your mind. If we get more to share for Nakwon: Last Paradise, we will do just that on the site. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the various others we will share along the way.
