Game Of Thrones
Time to crack open some wine and have a gander at the ‘leaked’ Game Of Thrones screenshots from Telltale Games’ upcoming rendition of the franchise
Just like Star Trek fans all of those Game Of Thrones fans are just as rabid and trying to find any little extra they can when the franchise has something else coming out. In this case it looks like someone found some great Game Of Thrones screenshots for the upcoming title that Telltale Games is working on for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Up until now we’ve had very sly teases from the developer as to what we could expect from the game but nothing all too concrete or as to the style that we could expect to see Game Of Thrones take. Most of the episodic adventures have a comic book style look for those who don’t follow all things Telltale.
Here we go though. Our first kind of look at how Game Of Thrones will look once we get the first of the six episodes downloaded for play. That is why you came here so I’ll let you have your look in peace for now if you have been able to restrain yourself from jumping down to the eight new images for the Game Of Thrones video game.
I’m not completely sure what kind of style to think we are getting for the Game Of Thrones game now. It does look like they have gone the path of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us with the comic book/cell shading kind of thing but in some aspects it looks like Telltale was trying to get a full 3D render of the actors from the show. Personally I am hoping for the latter here as I would love to see them deviate from the same style we have had from their last three major titles. I am including Tales From the Borderlands in that list too even though the style fits that universe and gameplay already set up.
Although to be completely honest I think I could easily deal with Telltale using the tried and true visual style for Game Of Thrones here if they were also able to secure the voices of the cast being shown in the images above. Hopefully we will all find out here in short order as Telltale has confirmed that the first episode will launch before the end of the year. So if we use the normal timeline for all of this sometime after or around the first of December we should see a trailer confirming the look and voices of the game. Such a wait though…
