No Straight Roads is going to be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on August 25th, so it is high time to take in a new lesson on what the game is going to be about. Well, less on what it is about but more on the gameplay we will have to use to make our way through the city that Metronomik is placing us in with this rhythm-infused action game. Something that has looked rather cool from the start of it all but has seemed a little odd in just hearing how it will flow. I guess that is a good reason that we have a new video to show off No Straight Roads and how we will be platforming and taking down bosses in the world while playing to the beat of the music. All with a very cool stylized look about it all.
The details are still not completely clear here for No Straight Roads, but it looks like we will be going through areas and fighting bosses by triggering moves and attacks based on the music that is playing. Something that we will need to master and then see and use the loops of to keep the fights going so we can survive it all and become the rock legends we are setting out to be. All while taking down that horrible EDM that is out there. A nice little twist on things as it is usually the Pop and EDM that are touted as the “good” side of the conflict with Rock and Metal being the “bad.” Unless there is some deeper twist that we will find out in No Straight Roads when we play that turns it all upside-down. We do not have long to wait to find out all of that, thankfully.
