The next character for MultiVersus is on the way with the showing of Nubia gearing up to join the roster of MultiVersus
Start rattling all of those spears out there for MultiVersus, as we have a new warrior on the way to the game and another of the immortal beings who should easily dominate the matches. That is based on the character’s lore, but it looks as if Player First Games is gearing up Nubia to join the ranks and be able to fight alongside with her fellow Amazon as well as the various other characters coming during the current season of character updates. With Nubia joining in the fun of MultiVersus on October 15th here on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. A very short time for us all to wait after getting the announcement. Now let us see just what Nubia is going to bring to the game beyond being the queen of the Amazons.
Nubia will be another of the growing list of close-combat fighters in MultiVersus even though holding the Staff of Understanding would make it feel like there should be a bit more range to the character. Nubia will use that weapon and all of the prowess of the core character to add in a new Assassin-class character to slash and kick others off the battle map out there. Along with some fun taunts and team-ups from a few of the various other characters in the MultiVersus roster as well. Just a bit like Wonder Woman from the basic view of it all, but when we mix in a bit of the different fighting styles and other variant costumes that Nubia will get to adorn, we can quickly see where the comparisons start and end. MultiVersus — Character Gameplay: Nubia
All hail the Queen! Warner Bros. Games released a new MultiVersus trailer revealing the first look at gameplay for DC’s Nubia, the current Queen of the Amazons and protector of Themyscira, who will join the roster as the latest playable character on Oct. 15 as part of Season 3: Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice.
Nubia is a close-combat damage dealer with a dominant moveset featuring her Staff of Understanding that brings long-range spear fighting with a touch of godly power into the mix. In the new trailer, Nubia’s prowess as an Assassin class fighter is on full display, including her ability to slash, strike, and propel kicks towards opponents, as well as generating shockwaves with her staff to take out enemies. The trailer also shows off the Future State Nubia character variant, available for purchase on Oct. 15.
Additionally, the new battle-torn “Destroyed” version of the City of Townsville map from The Powerpuff Girls series arrives on Oct. 15.
