Darksiders Genesis
A new trailer for Darksiders Genesis shows off how the creature core system of Darksiders Genesis will let you evolve the abilities of War and Strife
Here we go with more to look at for Darksiders Genesis with a look at the Creature Core system we will be playing within the game. The fun little system that will have us upgrading and advancing our abilities in the game once we take down enemies and bosses. We are going to have to do it some way so that Airship Syndicate can keep us all locked into the game a bit longer than a few levels of the same thing, right? This is just how it will be here in Darksiders Genesis for the duo to abandon it in their future exploits if you are following along with just the story. I jest, of course, and am here to show it all off a bit more for you.
Now that we have all of that out the way, here we go with the latest for this Darksiders title in terms of gameplay. Not much is actually explained, but you can watch and see how there are items to pick up when killing all of the demons here and then you will be able to take them back to Vulgrim to unlock and/or upgrade. We do get a look at some of these skills in action for a short bit, but it looks like we may have to wait until Darksiders Genesis releases here in a few weeks on PC to fully get what is going on. Have a look and get ready for more of the fun and mayhem we should be expecting.
Darksiders Genesis — Abilities And Creature Cores
In a new gameplay trailer, developer Airship Syndicate and THQ Nordic present the so-called “Creature Core”-system which allows players to upgrade and customize their horseman’s battle skills. Both fighters begin with a variety of different attacks but will gain access to more devastating and fascinating ways to smash demons on their journey through hell. “Creature Cores” can be picked up after slaying enemies and bosses and are also available for purchase at Vulgrim’s store in exchange for souls.
Are you fully ready for Darksiders Genesis to hit us here so soon or will you be holding out for the console release early next year? Do you think it is odd that they have pretty much renamed the advancement system here or will it work differently than we have seen in the past titles? Could some of these only be unlocked by killing specific enemies or will we have access to everything no matter how many demons we kill? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If there is more to share for Darksiders Genesis, and we know there will be, it will all be on the site here for you. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and more.
