A new physical edition for Psychonauts 2 is out there for the hardcore Psychonauts fans to collect out there
There are still some gamers out there that would much rather have their titles in physical form, and now you will be able to have Psychonauts 2 in your physical hands after being out there for so long already. Even if it would have been nice for Double Fine to drop this version of the game when it first launched on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, we will just have to deal with it for now. Even if it is a bit more to spend for the Psychonauts fans out there that want to have the cases to show off in their gaming spaces instead of in the digital library only. I know I generally enjoy going that way with it all, but it is not always an option at launch to have that.
For those that waited or are just looking to get more Psychonauts in their lives, the Motherlobe Edition of the game is now out there as you are reading this. It comes with a reversible cover sheet, a set of art cards, six stickers, a download of the behind-the-scenes footage, and a copy of Psychonauts 2 too. It would be weird if it did not have the game in the mix, but we have seen that happen in the past. It is a nice little package to have and get us all back in on the game, if we needed more. Then again, who does not need more of this IP even if it is going to be on limited platforms going forward now? Even if I am still holding out hope for the PS5 version to drop out there somehow.
Psychonauts 2 — Motherlobe Edition
In this collectible, physical edition of the much anticipated, Psychonauts 2: The Motherlobe Edition, get the platform-adventure game and then some! Packed in the game are quirky missions and mysterious conspiracies with cinematic style and tons of customizable psychic powers. The game pack-ins include exclusive stickers, art cards, a reversible coversheet, AND a digital download code for behind-the-scenes footage.
Psychonauts 2: The Motherlobe Edition comes in a lenticular outer sleeve with a reversible cover sheet, and will feature a set of six two-sided art cards showcasing concept and final art from the game, six premium die-cut stickers, and a digital download code granting access to unreleased behind the scenes materials.
Have you been looking to get more Psychonauts in your life or is this something that should have dropped at launch? Do the little extras add in enough to buy it physically or will they only stay in the box while you enjoy the game instead? Will we ever get to see the game land on the other systems out there or did the buyout make that never a possibility? Tell us all of your thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish. If there is anything more for Psychonauts 2, we will certainly drop it all here. Please keep checking back for all of that and everything else that we have going on out there.
