Resident Evil 4 Is Getting Redone But In A New VR Setting

Resident Evil 4

The Resident Evil 4 rumors were only partially true with the reveal that Resident Evil 4 VR is going to be a thing out there soon

While we are still waiting for the release of the bigger title out there, we have been keeping an eye on the rumors for Resident Evil 4 too. Some of it seems like it stemmed from the way Capcom is using it to inspire Village but also some of it from little things spotted out in the wilds. We tried to brush it off as it all sounded like it was fan hopes and dreams for a new version of Resident Evil 4 or a remaster that has been all of the rage and well-received too. Now we are glad to say that we will be seeing the game redone but in a VR space of it all for the Oculus Quest as of right now.

So maybe it is not a full remake as we had for Resident Evil 2 and 3, but it is a new way to experience the full game that is still listed as one of the best by almost all fans. A vast deviation from the core of it all, sure, but something that seems like it should be a bit of an easy transition for it all. My only concern for it all is that it looks like we are getting the same visuals for Resident Evil 4 that we had back with the most recent release in the normal way. This feels a bit off given how well the VR aspects worked for RE7, but that would have taken a lot longer to drop out there so that could be the case. Either way, you can see the reveal down below and see what could be coming for this title to entice us all more.

Did you expect to see Resident Evil 4 getting the VR treatment or did you want to see a full remake as we had with the last set of titles? Do you think that we will get a graphical upgrade to it all here or will it just be the gameplay mechanics that shift a bit? Do you think we will see this hit the other VR platforms out there for more of us to enjoy or will it stick to the Quest for now to use the fewer limitations of the hardware? Let us all know down in the comments what is on your mind about this and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. We will share what we can for the VR version of Resident Evil 4 as it drops. Keep an eye on the site for all of that and everything else we might be able to share.
