Resident Evil Village
The iOS release for Resident Evil Village is here to give those looking to play Resident Evil on their mobile devices a chance
It would not be a good Halloween season if we did not get a good update or entry into the Resident Evil realm again. Sometimes it is through full titles, sometimes it is through DLC, and in this instance, it is through a port over to a new platform from Capcom. Not that it is a surprise, but here we go with the launch of Resident Evil Village on the iOS systems out there. Well, at least those that are running on the M1 chip or later in the cycle. Those waiting to experience it all here, though, can do so now so they can take the horror on the move with them.
If you are one of those people who will have the proper hardware for this release, then you will be in for a bit of a treat when it comes to Resident Evil Village. As it looks, you will be able to play the main story for free but will need to pony up the cash if you want to experience any other parts of the game. Not a bad deal but also a weird one if you ask me. Not to mention that you will also be able to sync up a controller to your Apple device and play Resident Evil Village that way if you so choose. I guess, giving you the bigger benefit of being able to take the game on the go and sync it over all of the devices instead of just playing on a console or PC.
Resident Evil Village — iOS Launch Trailer
Resident Evil Village is available now on iPhone 15 Pro and all iPads with the M1 chip or later!
Bring survival horror with you anywhere you go, and join Ethan Winters on a terrifying journey as he searches for his kidnapped daughter in a remote village with sinister foes.
I do find it a little odd that we are getting Resident Evil Village in this way and how it is being delivered out there, but I am not the one making the calls over at the publisher. It is nice that there could be a massive growth in the love of the IP due to all of this, but I am fairly certain this is not going to garner many new gamers into the fray who have not already experienced the game before. Just a bunch that are cool with playing it on smaller screens and having their Resident Evil fix filled as they go about their days. I could be wrong, but I have this feeling anytime a title that has hit all the major platforms out there goes mobile. It just feels like it is reaching for the last little bit it can squeeze and not offering up much to anyone.
Will you be giving this Resident Evil title a go over Halloween now or will you stick to the others you have on a larger screen? Do you think this will bring in new fans to the IP or will it just be one more way the diehard fans will be able to keep playing? Does this point to there being other titles in the line getting ported over to the iOS devices or will this be a one-and-done thing for it all? Head into the comments to discuss all of this and everything else that is out there. If we get more to share for Resident Evil Village, we will share it all here. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and many others.
