Robocop: Rogue City

There is more to know for Robocop: Rogue City to get us all ready to take on the role of Robocop once more

It is time to hammer home more of what we are going to get to do in Robocop: Rogue City when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 2nd. It is going to be a lot more than just walking around, shooting, and punching criminals in the face. While Teyon is definitely giving us a whole lot of that in Robocop: Rogue City, here is a little more to know about the game before it launches out there. Even if a good portion of it all is just that and not a whole lot more. Maybe so we can get more of the commentary on the police structure and issues we still have in it to this day. You know, that whole militarized thing we are still fighting with forty years later.

Most of what you are about to see here for Robocop: Rogue City is about the same as we have seen in a few other videos from the studio already with the shooting and investigation aspects picking up a bit. All of these will be things we will need to manage in the game. The most interesting thing, to me at least, is that the game will be taking place after the events of Robocop II and seemingly ignoring the third film. Most fans of the IP will probably be perfectly fine with this call, but it feels like this is the first time it is being called out here. Although, it does beg the question of where it all falls with the various comics that have done similar things in the past. Given those involved with it all, it does feel like this will be added to the overall lore of the story, so it is nice to have it finally called out here.

Robocop: Rogue City — All You Need To Know

Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury.

Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.

Robocop: Rogue City comes out on November 2, 2023, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Having experienced parts of Robocop: Rogue City already, I have been more and more excited for this title to finally hit. More as I would like to play it in my preferred PS5 setting. Locking in the knowledge on where it all falls in the timeline does make me want to take a day and binge through the various movies leading up to the game too. Maybe even take in the reboot that happened as it was not the worst version of Robocop out there and seems like the themes of the IP will always be looming over us. No matter how many times it is critiqued and has a light shined on it. Maybe this one will do it better than just highlighting how much fun it could be to shoot bad guys and do paperwork as a cyborg out there.

What has been your favorite entry into the Robocop line so far and will this add a lot more to the overall lore? Could we get a perfect bridge between some of the other stories out there or is it placed where it is to make sure we get some of the familiar faces and voices back? Will this shine a light on the brutality out there in “The Force” or will many just see it as the nostalgia of a robot cop doing what a robot cop does? Head to the comments and take a few shots at discussing all of that. There is more to come for Robocop: Rogue City, certainly, and we will do what we can to cover it all. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and many others as we get closer to the launch.
