Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis
A delay has hit Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis and we will now be getting Ryte in January of next year on our VR systems
If you loaded up your VR systems looking to add Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis to the list today, you might be a little letdown that you do not see it available yet. This is not a glitch in the system or something to freak out over, as it looks like Orichalcum Pictures had to make the tough choice to delay the game. Yes, it seems a bit weird that it happens on the day it was supposed to launch, but it is what it is. Now it looks like we will have to wait until January 27th of 2021 to finally see the world that Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis is going to offer us in our virtual settings.
As with all of the delays this year, so far, it looks like Ryte is another victim of the COVID-19 lockdowns in the world out there. France has gone into another one and that has shown the development of the game down a bit and the team missed the time to get it ready for us to play. It would have been nice to get the news a little further out than the day of the initial release, but what are we going to do? Now they just have more time to make sure that we get the best version of Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis to run around with our headset on. That or our helmets to add to that extra level of immersion we are always striving for.
Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis — Commented Gameplay
Today, Orichalcum Pictures, a hybrid production company founded to explore archaeology through a multimedia lens, and developer VR Connection announced a slight delay for their ancient Greece and Myst-inspired VR adventure game Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis. The official statement reads as follows:
“Due to the remote work adjustments during the COVID-19 second lockdown in France which were necessary to keep everyone healthy, the current version of Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis did not quite reach the technical quality standards that the studio and we have set and wanted to achieve for the release on December 8th.
With so much work and dedication put into this project we feel we owe the players to deliver the most polished experience and decided to postpone the release to January 27, 2021.
We apologize to everyone who was expecting the game today. This decision was not an easy one to make. But achieving excellence is our goal and we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience”
Were you curious why you were not able to find Ryte out there in the virtual stores or does this all make sense in the long run? Is it weird that they waited until launch day to make this announcement or is this a sign they were trying everything up to the wire? Would you rather wear a full helmet to play this VR game or would you rather go lighter and with just lenses kind of path? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more to Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis, we will certainly share it all here. Please keep checking back for all of that and much more.
