See & Hear More On The Haunted World Of Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture

A new trailer and song for the soundtrack of Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture have been released to show off Santa Monica Studios’ & The Chinese Room’s progress

With Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture about to hit the beta phase in the development cycle it is high time for us to see something more for the game and maybe hear some form of update outside of that. Right? Well Santa Monica Studios has done just that to give us all a nice look at where Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is currently at, a bit on the story of the game, and how the soundtrack for the game will most likely sound like. It is being touted as one of the best game soundtracks ever created so there is quite a bit for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture to live up to now. Let’s just hope they ain’t whistlin’ Dixie…

First up we have a look at the tone that the story for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture will have once it comes out this summer. I knew it would have been a bit much to hope for a story like This Is The End for the game but given the following trailer and screenshots for the game it looks like we should all be pleasantly surprised and happy. It looks like it will be full of all kinds of despair with whiffs of hope peppered in. Given that Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is game I think it will be safe to assume that those whiffs will become much more and there will be some kind of happy ending to the game. Here’s hoping for a very dark ending to Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture though as we are obviously not getting a comedic one.

Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture — New Trailer

No matter how the story goes we can at least rest assured that Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is going to look immaculate and be able to tell the story of the game with just the environments alone. I am going to assume that there will be more storytelling elements during the game but I am digging how Santa Monica Studios and The Chinese Room have gone so far. Mix in that amazing sound track that was being talked about and I am sure we will have another Journey-like title on our hands here. So much was done in that game with so little spoken and shown. The cynic in me is quickly fading here for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture just with all of this.

If you would like to have a sample of the music for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture to make sure there is no Dixie whistling going on then you are in luck. A track from the aforementioned soundtrack has been released for us to sample and pine over. I’ll make things quick and let you dig right into the new song and see if Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is truly on path to have one of the best soundtracks in gaming history.

So what do you think about all of this for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture? Have you been sold more or less on the overall game here? Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture does sound pretty and look like it could be a very haunting game to play through but I can also see many doubts. None the less let us know your thoughts down in the comments so that if you get “raptured” they will be left behind for all of the heathens out there in the aftermath.
