Silence Will Ring The Loudest In The Quiet Man

The Quiet Man

New details for The Quiet Man are here as well as a look at how The Quiet Man will blend live-action and CG in this action game

We finally have some solid details on The Quiet Man after the title was announced during E3 in a very strange way. All it seemed like we had was a live-action trailer with a little bit of gameplay mixed in. As it turns out, that was actually all “gameplay” from Human Head Studios as they are aiming to bring us a mix of live-action film mixed with third-person action gameplay to seamlessly tell us a nice little narrative. Little in terms of The Quiet Man spanning only one in-game night and only taking us about three hours to complete from start to end. I guess that is why Square Enix is only listing it at a nice little $14.99 USD for the PS4 and PC. My guess is to see if they can do what is planned and then turn it into a much larger title at another date. I guess we will see.

In addition to that, we finally know what The Quiet Man is going to be all about. We will be playing as Dane, a deaf man who is on the hunt to find out what happened to a songstress who was kidnapped by a masked man. Also to find out why the kidnapping took place in the first instance. For some reason, he will need to fight his way through a bunch of thugs and we will see the live-action video move from telling the story into us actually fighting without us noticing. At least that is the current goal and story as we all know it. Have a look just below.

The Quiet Man — Silence Rings Loudest

The Quiet Man delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay.

Unraveling within a single night, players take the role of deaf protagonist Dane as he fights his way through a “soundless” world to discover the motives behind the kidnapping of a songstress from a mysterious masked man. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.

You may have seen a bit of the combat in The Quiet Man there, but here we have more of that combat to look at. In terms of gameplay, we will not have a HUD to dictate what we are supposed to do in the little adventure here but the combat looks to use the same basics we have in all other action titles out there. Not too surprising, but it is looking like The Quiet Man could be truly pushing a few ideas and things in the industry so I will take the basic controls to look forward to the blending Human Head Studios is aiming for. Now if only we had a solid release date to look for…
